1492 bytes is fine. 1492 = 1500 -2-6 bytes for PPP & PPPoE overhead respectively. It’s the highest you can go. Any higher you’ll get fragmented packets.
To play it safe, 1480 is also ok for a slight, mostly unnoticeable, decrease in performance.

btw, just FYI: TM's DIR-850L defaults to 1492. Archer C1200 to 1480, not 100% sure. Mikrotik 1480.

Oh no, those are just the values that the router defaults to. The actual value to use depends on the ISP or network. PPPoE is 1492. If there's additional encapsulation, the value will be lower. You can use lower if you want to. It shouldn't affect things but sometimes it does. Like what happened here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4206500

Currently I am using Unifi 30Mbps package which comes with a VDSL2-ZTE-H268E modem and a DLINK DIR-850L router. I have come across with the TP-Link Archer VR400. Can I buy this to replace both my modem and router for UNIFI?

Which means inside of using 2 device now, I just 1 will do and will it work with UNIFI?

Why? Both the router and the VDSL modem doesn't consume a lot of currents anyway

The DLINK router just died, that's why looking for a budget replacement and come across with this TPLINK Archer VR400 and was wondering if can replace both of it by just using this only. Seems budget and space saving also but not sure works with UNIFI or not.
