hi tp-link sifus,

yesterday the tm's contractor has come to my house to install the Unifi lite. the whole set up was monitor by my dad and he don't have any knowledge on IT related stuff and thus the contractor was the one that setting the whole unifi up and running.

since yesterday night, i am trying to enter the google dns into the dhcp server set up but it was not successful as some of the website was blocked by unifi's dns. I have post my inquiry into the unifi lite post yesterday and i don't get any feedback from any lyn forumers, thus decided to post my inquiry here to get some answer from any tp-link expert.

below is the DHCP server screen shot page of the tp link router:

Attached Image

The wireless router that TM's contractor provided was TP-Link Wireless Router Archer C1200.

There is also another device with the TM's logo and Huawei's brand. The model was ONU-Huawei-HG8240w. May I know what was the function of this device? It looks like a router but it was connected with the fiber and it also connects to the TP-Link Wireless Router Archer C1200.

I apologize for the long essay and thank you for your time for reading my question.

Thank you.

TLDR version:

1. Where to set the google DNS? Is it at the DHCP server page as per my screen shot above? I tried to access certain website, but I still get blocked after setting up the google DNS in the DHCP server page.

2. What was the function of the ONU-Huawei-HG8240w? It looks like a router to me.

TM contractor gave me TP-Link Wireless Archer C1200 along with the ONU-Huawei-HG8240w when setting up the unifi lite.

Thank you.

hi bingozero,

i have changed the DNS to google dns as per your screen shot, but it randomly still block the website that I browse. Do I have to edit the IPV6 setting? Below is the screen shot of the IPV6 setting in the router.

hi,

did anyone encounter the TP-link Archer C1200 facing 100% CPU load? the wifi router also seems to have trouble to connect the internet sometimes and it will auto reconnect itself back after a few minutes.

troubleshooting steps has been performed:
1. shut down the router and wait for 5 mins later to turn it back on
2. disabled USB and share printing

please do advise for any troubleshooting steps that i can perform
