just renewed my contract and changed my router from TM. They gave me Archer C1200, my wifi signal boosted tremendously compared to my old silver boxed innatech router.
But currently facing one problem. Whenever I restart or turn on the router, it takes about 3-5 mins to get internet connection (green signal). Any ideas why?

QUOTE(soonwai @ Sep 1 2017, 11:13 PM) Try the latest firmware for the C1200 and see if it helps. Please report back so I can update my thread here. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4269752QUOTE(JohnLai @ Sep 2 2017, 12:38 AM) I think you better list out your C1200 version. There are V1 (EU), V2 (US) and V3 (US) for C1200 If your C1200 is V1, you can find latest firmware here Archer C1200(EU)_V1_170706 http://uk.tp-link.com/download/Archer-C1200_V1.html#FirmwareNo idea why TPlink MY website doesn't update with 170706 version. Should works I guess..... just double checked. Mine is c1200 v1 (eu). current firmware is 161115. should i follow the UK or MY latest firmware? latest firmware for v1 in MY is 161115 as well. whereas UK one is up to 2017. how should i update as well? sorry for inconvenience Attached thumbnail(s)

Because once you upgrade you can't downgrade back. Finally upgraded, no noticeable difference after usage And once you upgrade, all your login info will be resetted. Wasted 1 hour+ to call TM to get my PPPOE password and to learn online how to set up unifi/hypptv properly with the router. The EU firmware alot of things had to be done manually, as comapred to the stock firmware whereby there's a Unifi option for easy setup
