The firmware is exactly the same if you visit tplink Malaysia TEST website as mentioned by soonwai.

Btw....I thought TPLink model always reset to factory default after firmware update and this should be general knowledge by now?

And you are saying you don't know your unifi login.....and hypptv VLAN stuff....yet you flashed the firmware anyway?  mega_shok.gif

LOL, TP-Link moved IPTV port from 4 to 1 if one select Unifi IPTV preset.
Here how to set it back to port 4...

The bad news is......restarting/power on the router still take long.....4 minutes 17 seconds 98 milliseconds with new firmware compared to 4m45s55ms with previous original firmware

I updated mine early morning today and time taken for manual restart together with BTU was only 3m20s compared to previous stock firmware @ approx. 4m++

The router was fully up before 3m but it took another approx. 1m to turn the internet light from orange to green/yellow

Yes, I timed right after I power on the router and wait until the orange light change to green/yellow. A slight improvement in booting speed.
Don't forget to enable 5ghz Beamforming, it is disabled by default.

Yeah enabled beamforming but I realised the signal downstairs was 1 bar lower compared to previous firmware but it doesn't really affect the speed tho

Thanks for highlighting this new firmware rclxms.gif

1 bar lower? Now that is weird... hmm.gif

Since this is 5Ghz 2x2:2 beamforming....probably it beamforms to other more demanding device at different location.
In theory, beamforming is about making signal in wanted direction stronger and others weaker.
Try having some data transfer and the signal bar probably will increase.

Apology for not being clear

Lower signal bar are referring to those using 2.4GHz

I am only using 5GHz for my Apple TV which I can't really monitor the signal bar when watching Youtube but by far no interruption etc so I assume it is fine thumbup.gif
