anyone using the default tm given tp link archer c1200 wifi router and having problems? I am facing a lot of issues with it. It will hang by its own within 24-48 hours and a reboot is needed. Now i am facing another issue where like with in 12 hours after rebooting, some of my devices that was disconnected from the wifi will not be able to connect back to the wifi. those that are already attached still can use.

tm has already changed to the same model but problem still persist. I am thinking to change AU firmware Archer C1200(EU)_V1_170706 as someone in the unifi thread said can use.

http://www.tp-link.com.au/download/Archer-...1.html#Firmware

This is my current firmware which is a tm default firmware.

1.0.0 Build 20170905 rel.41738 (EU)

Mine is the v1 model. Anyone has upgraded it without any issues?

As a quick fix, you can get a SUM Digital Timer to daily off the router at one time and on it back at another time.

Even if the router is functioning well, I use it to let my router have some rest once per week too. The timer is very flexible to have up 10 sets of on/off timing which can be in minutes, hours, days or weekdays.

True but i am using unifi less than 1 month only and every 1-2 days sure give me this problem no fail. this device cant be that "lousy" right that need to reboot 24 hours. Finding a long term solution

Long term solution is changing that damn router to something else.

yes but i have friends using the same exact model. they do not face the problem i am facing. if this model is the problem, then tm would have got bombarded with all the calls that this wireless is rubbish, but that is not the case. if this model is giving problems to all new houses , i do not think tm would even deploy this model at all. the problem that i am facing is a very odd one where every 12hours to 48 sure will break. people may complain that wifi signal weak or sometimes will hang after a few weeks on non stop running but mine is a whole new funny problem...which i cannot accept it is that lousy.

I just got a very old riger RG4332 wifi router from my friend who replaced it way back in 2013. he said that is a no good wifi also but at least you dont need to reboot after a week. i am testing this for 2-3 days to see how it will perform now. this should conclude it is a wifi prob or i do not know what might come up

using your guide, will it not give problems like wireless devices not able to connect after 12 hours of up time? I upgraded to the latest AU firmware and it is still giving me the same problem. after 24 hours of uptime it will get worst where anything connected to the wifi will not be able to surf internet including the LAN. Do you face this problem?

It will not give any problem. Because I test the router before give the suggestion. I did not face such problem, infact, the router does handle the connected device well. (2 PC via lan port, 1 for hypptv). 8 smartphones, 2 wireless printers. The router seems can handle the device connected to it. I never face a single hang at all.
i tried your method but same result. i declare c1200 is not usable at all. i am going to complain to tm and see if they can get me another model as in not c1200! Still not satisfied with the wifi router they gave me. my friend gave me a 2013 old wifi router that was given free to TM back then, its the riger model. I test using that no problem at all for 2 days and counting.
