Yes very nice. There was a similar trick to display a DVD playback on your desktop back in the MacOS 9 days too. Way cool especially when you showed it to the Windows users (at that time I think it was Win98)like vista dreamscene
Come to think of it, there were some really nice hacks in pre OSX, some which got ported over but others were left out. Anyone remember Conan the Librarian?
