try not to put alot of wood in. the ph will swing like crazy.

no, only boraras can go with shrimp.. others are too big.

with tank that small, and u plan to cycle this tank, just put in one fish and leave it there for 2 weeks. Try use a betta

ok if u using ADA soil, when the soil is new, it will pull the Ph down.. and its full with No, run ur filter and do WC, get a ph tester.  just run with empty tank the cycling will start with that. and benefit bac will grow.

its the same, we only move in the house that had finished build we don't stay in a house with no root hehe..

rocal is a big NONO in planted tank , unless the ph is too low and u need to raise it up.

ph should be around 6.X

i find the Genoah tanks are rather small. they look nice but they're less forgiving.

try getting something wider if possible, more surface area and also nicer to look at.

i've tried small tanks like that, even the smallest HOB filter i can find also make the water look like some whirlpool. end up have to use some plastic tree to disperse the waterfall so that the tank doesn't become a 24/7 fish threadmill.

some more using guppies, you know la how guppies fare on moving water.

actually keep shrimps alone also very nice already.

they wouldn't bully ur shrimp for sure.. they will just KOOMM eaten hahhaa

well planted tank was one of my consideration but after thinking about the soil / bed, fertilizer, lights, plants, CO2 blablabla............ i went marine. either way it's going to cost, but i went marine cos i wanna try out saltwater tank.

The Genoah tank, IMHO wouldn't have enough space for 2 substrates, big enough for 2 cups of ADA and you are looking at maybe 1.5 litres of water. In this sized tank, better stick to 1 fauna species no headache. Shrimps would be the way to go, since you won't really have to buy additional food for them unless you really wanna spend RM50 on a Crystal Red shrimp (CRS) then go with Algae flakes, otherwise stick with Red Cherry Shrimps (RCS) - only RM1.20 each (on average). Plant-wise for this tank, is any plant that has petit or dwarf in parts of its name.

when u start ur tank, which is empty. u can even do a 100% WC, if u r using amazon I, then u will need to do alot WC to clear the water. water u hv plants, do a 30% WC, 2 times a week. this is what i do
