QUOTE(playerseeker @ Feb 10 2009, 10:30 PM) yea..from wat i read from the net...it is best to break inside the water..not at the surface..and i've read tat airstone is consider low-efficient in dissolving into water.... i will buy the diffuser soon..now tahan with airstone 1st....anyhow..the CO2 setup is cheap..so waste the CO2 also tak sakit hati la.. ![]() Spiro 3000 Co2 Diffuser selling in lelong.com RM 16.99. ![]() Or can use this CO2 Diffuser Bell suitable in very small aquariums (less then 40liters). |

QUOTE(ching4ever @ Feb 16 2009, 11:07 AM) Remove the valve controller, gas might leak out from there. You need a needle valve like in the regulator to ensure no leaking, this kind of plastic sure leak one. I used the same design diffuser but longer size type, diy co2 is not an issue but troublesome, end up I get a solenoid. what is solenoid look like?and how much its cost? that valve controller i didn't use liao...cos i dint put the bubble counter liao |

QUOTE(ching4ever @ Feb 16 2009, 11:47 AM) Google regulator solenoid, it is fix to a co2 tank, it will turn on automatically when lights on, and off while lights off, save co2. Price around 250-280 exclude the tank. oOoo....i saw before in the shop...around that price also...and the CO2 tank (size around 100+ botol or bigger a bit) rm200+ also... continuous injection of CO2 to the tank will have side effect? |

QUOTE(usermode @ Feb 17 2009, 08:19 AM) the valve you mentioned is check valve. IMO, they're as important as a diffuser. it's to prevent water to go into your regulator expecially if you're using solenoid regulator which if it happens, it might cause your regulator to be broken (you dont want to buy another RM200+ regulator just because of this mistake will ya). but on the other hands, diy co2 and manual regulator ALWAYS have air pressure to push the gas. so no water will coming thru. Only happens when there's no co2 anymore. so check valve is an optional item for you. but still, for myself, i use check valve in any tubing that leads to any hardwares. so in case anything happen, i got prevention. huhuhuu~!! |
