QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Jul 18 2007, 06:27 PM) the GEX soil or even ADA Aquasoil is available in Irene in Seapark and 88 in Sunwaymas. and yeah what he saidYou can get the basic 2ft aluminium casing for about rm90. But the stock flourescent casing that comes with most casings aren't suitable for planted tanks. So, you'll have to spend a little extra on getting the proper lights. You might wanna consider getting a fan to keep your temperature down and timer for your lights. sweetpuf planted and corydoras Sifu! This post has been edited by michanz: Jul 18 2007, 06:32 PM |

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Jul 18 2007, 06:33 PM) no lah. Just learn as I go along. And I still have a lot more to learn and also sumhow with good airation..my java moss will grow faster..i tried putting one side of my java moss over my bubbly place at the filter there..I think that's part of the fun. Oh ya, one more thing. If you're considering adding fish, don't buy them till after your tank have cycled, or if you have a matured filter. Having a filter to circulate water helps plant growth, IMHO. it grows faster..and where the java moss tak kena the bubbles..it grows at a slower rate..so i put my java moss right in the middle of the filter outflow..loads of bubbles..the whole java moss now growing real fast..can see its ends turning light green faster |

QUOTE(geediver @ Jul 19 2007, 08:46 PM) Just found really really good light casing for you people, but then bloody expensive. Its the type people use for marine lights (you know on boats and such), guaranteed no water leaking in coz there's even an o-ring attached to the cover plus I've seen our crew hose the thing with power jet thingy and they still work hehehe... But got problem, you can only get it Marine supplies shop. Hmmm... wait there's a light shop at the end of Sunway Mentari Business Centre above Domino's Pizza, I think they stock it. how expensive is dis bloody expensive? |

QUOTE(geediver @ Jul 19 2007, 10:30 PM) Errr.. Michanz you might want to use a cable tie around the end of your tubing, just a precaution, in case you aren't around and it pops out... LOLx. Unless you actually used the sealant on the connection, then no need. But if I were you, I'd use silicon gel on the connector then shove the tubing in followed by cable tie on the outside of the tubing. Just being safe ma.... Silicon gel acts as a lube when you want to remove the tubing... you know like when you and your .... oooopppssss sorry went off topic a bit, but you get my meaning, right! il take note of tat! well my co2yeast level like half bottle..and i tried suddenly open the valve..nuttin pop out haha!nuttin sprayed out!its actually quite hard already to pull out the tube...but i gues il just find a cable tie and tie tie! QUOTE(coldfusionpower @ Jul 19 2007, 10:37 PM) haha . i bought one, then suddenly a fren give me one for free. haih . he doesnt say earlier. if not didnt buy lor . now i got one 2ft plastic tank and two of 2ft glass tank . haih ... as long as u dont totally shut the thing off..then pressure build up..BOOM!! unless u got besi bottle then good! hahahmm . so what u do ? just open it to 3/4 ? then the pressure in the bottle is higher right ? huhu .. aslong the co2 keep going out. or .. BOOM ! got yeast all over the room . haha .. thanks for ur advice. will looking for the besi one . the besi thing quite good actually u can control the co2 flow..real nice! |

imo smaller plants are hard to grow or maintain..
the smaller a plant the harder to take care haha! well co2 tabs are actually really expensive.. DIY niaa water parameters in a smalller tank is harder to maintain than a bigger tank count dat in also.. |
