Hi Everybody~ This is a very interesting thread. I just want to know what type of small fish have the longest lifespan? I heard from my friend said that keeping fish is pointless as the small fish die very fast due to their short lifespan. Is it true? PLease advise. Thanks.

QUOTE(nezumitaro @ Jan 5 2009, 03:12 PM) ur friend keep in bare tank? or planted? He kept in bare tank only. Does the plant actually help the fish to a longer lifespan? Sorry, i know i'm noob Anyway, all the pictures posted here really kinda poison me into getting a planted aquarium with small fish in it. hehe... QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Jan 6 2009, 12:31 AM) if keep in bare tank, small fish get kinda stressed coz dont have plants or bushes to hide... join our planted tank clan lah... cost is rather cheap, if u know how to search around and maintain it at low budget... for mine, around rm150 is sufficient for a nano size tank (16"x10"x10")... of coz if u wanna go into moderate or expert level, need at least rm500 above for a proper external water filter, proper substrate and proper co2 supply... I see, so the fish get stressed when there's no plant to hide huh? Wow... interesting. Your nano tank seem to be the perfect size (16"x10"x10"), do you mind showing us your nano tank? Do you mean RM150 including everything?

QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Jan 6 2009, 08:33 PM) well, not exactly rm150 lah... its better to exclude plants and fish because those u constantly buy whenever ur hand is itchy... haha.... I'm thinking of getting a nano size because i have limited space too. Is the plant need to be bought very often? How much does the plant cost?
