Impossible to turn the aircon on for 24/7 ...

I guess I better get a heater so that the temperature stays at 29c all the time..

Otherwise my fish will get stressed with that 2.5c temperature drop at night when the aircon is turned on ..

Anyone out there who knows which LFS has this SAE for sale right now?

I'm not sure whether java fern is aquatic plant onot.
the plant in rear is Aponogeton, no a good plant...
easy to grow...
and will flower, and the flower will explode and come out with flower powder in which ur whole tank will

What to do? Malaysia's temperature is like that ...

Night time when I turned on the air-con .. It goes to somewhere around 26c++ .. Daytime when the air-con already off.. I have to quickly shut the door so the temperature is still there.. Then switch on the ceiling fan.. It slowly raise in few hours time and then sticks on 28c but if the whether is hot, it will go max 29c.. Never reach 30c so far.. What do you think?

with aircond is 26? then wat temp u set for ur aircond when on?

i got 1 suggestion, put pc fan, or aquatic fan lo, if u on ur aircond, the fan will make the temp slightly 2~3 degree than ur ambient temp....

u might do this...
night time, when switch on aircond, make sure ur temp reach 25~26, then turn off the fan...
day time, turn on the fan....

That is what i am doing .. Nite - aircon + light .. Day - fan only ..
I didn't turn too cold cause if it gets 23c~24c.. I guess it will stress the fish with 6c drop..

Aponogeton will grow big and high not really suitable for tanks below 2 feet.

Java fern will grow both in and out of water. That's why its in the hardy plant category. Most LFS cultivate Java fern and its variations out of water, that's why you sometimes get it so lush and green, then when you put it into your tank, the ends of the leaves start to wilt and grow black. Not too worry, its just adapting.

For the rest of you, why don't you ask for the LFS contact number the next time you visit, at the very least you can call ahead to check if they have the fish or plants that you want.

The light will be connected to the cylinder, the cylinder will be connected to the external filter.
If either one of the devices got problem, then things will be kelam-kabut.....
Need more advice.
