LOL~!! u should ask others opinion. i du have nano tank. huhuhu.... i hate small tank >_< as i said, with my limited experience and knowledge... i might be wrong. you should get more precise information from other pros. gd luck bro. personally, i like glosso better .. but HC will cover up the ground much dense and nicer .. japanese hairgrass as the back to create visual of depth ... |

QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Feb 20 2009, 01:08 PM) rm350 worth it i guess.... coz solenoid regulator is expensive... jz make sure da regulator works well and not leaking... if possible ask for discount .. for rm400 i can get new 2kg tank and solenoid ..QUOTE(Amedion @ Feb 20 2009, 01:12 PM) What's the different between Normal and Powder? Heard I have to use normal on bottom for the root and powder on the top layer. normal soil is big while powder is smaller .. powder soil is needed when u want to plant small foreground plants since the powder has more smaller gab so the roots can easier stick to. if u dont use foreground plants, normal soil will suffice ..I don't know the name of plants and scaping. Let me describe a bit. Its those short grass, I believe its called japanese short grass to cover all the soil. 1 inch soil enough? Then few limestones stacked closely together at the rear/side of glass so I can put 3 inches soil inside for taller plants. In between the limestone. There will be a few long driftwood reaching almost the middle top of my tank covered with greeny short grass. Am I hard to understand? Maybe its iwagumi... grass : japanese hair grass .. its a foreground plant .. so need powder .. the side where taller plants, dont need powder soil . iwagumi means rock arrangement . usually one or two island of rocks only are used in the whole tank .. each island use 3diffrent stone or 7 max .. other places will be covered by foreground .. usually glosso or HC. most iwagumi doesnt hv other plants type at the scape .. but a few nice big blyxa japonica located near the island would be nice ... iwagumi examples.. QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Feb 20 2009, 03:32 PM) how much does aquasoil powder cost??.. i think i need some for my glosso to grow well... they seem very fragile and seems like uprooting themselves... if 9ltr amazonia II powder, will cost rm120-140 each bag.its usually called the "golden ratio"...many experts follow the golden ratio to make da tank look pleasing and attractive... to me i tak faham yet... lolz... golden ratio is just the placement ratio .. they calculate where your focus area should be. for iwagumi, focus area should be the biggest rock. usually if ur tank is 3ft, the focus area you wanted is to the left, ur focus point should be 1ft apart from left and 2ft apart from right .. if not mistaken laa .. i forgot this stuff edi .. HAHAHA |

well not exactly a trap . more like a free feast for them .. ahaha . i tried it once and it works .. but puffer fish would be better .. the problem is, where do u wanna throw the puffer fish when he's done ? .. coz puffer can kacau shrimp also ..
anyway .. just take a bottle .. cut it into three section .. throw the middle part .. put cucumber inside the bottom part .. and the top part put it upside down . so the nozzle.mouth are pointed downward. the snail will go in and eat the cucumber and stay there ... some will go out but most will stay because theres food .. ahaha |
