So what's Malaysia's law with regards of those flying drones that take photos/videos?
Is there any permission or permit in flying those things?

normally it is not a good idea to fly a drone in a populated zone like residential area, in case something goes wrong and the drone fell and break something or hurt someone. unless you only fly it within your own house area then it is ok.
but i think currently there is no laws governing this except not to interfere with other commercial planes. |

In malaysia, the law is governed by DCA. The laws are
- as usual, dont fly over airport & some selected areas including putrajaya. - cannot fly near building, vessel within 50m. - dont fly over people if it is more than 1000 people. (that means, less than 1k people should be legal). - cannot fly more than 120m (to avoid collision with airplane). - must fly within line of sight (LOS). Thats it. Other than that, its more about etique.. like dont fly too low over people lorr.. dangerous and disturb the peace. This post has been edited by zeese: May 25 2017, 11:53 AM |

QUOTE(Radec @ May 23 2017, 12:44 PM) So what's Malaysia's law with regards of those flying drones that take photos/videos? Biasa la Msia... law mcm mcm tapi zero enforcement. Is there any permission or permit in flying those things? I build & fly drones. I hv 'CS LICENSE'. CS = common sense Basically when flying, make sure you don't piss ppl off. |
