No Internet in my home yet. Tiny place.

Maxis Home Fibre coming in next Tuesday, getting the 30mbps. Any thoughts on whether I would require a wifi extender in this small space?

3R + 2B = 807sqft

Thanks.

No. The router will be more than sufficient to cover your whole area. However, the default Maxis router is crap. Changing it to your own third party router is difficult though and you only have one D-Link model you can use if you are intending to use Maxis VoIP.

Hi there.

I am staying in a condo about 950 sqft

And I found my bedroom is lacking in strong WiFi connectivity

I am on the look out for WiFi extender and stumbled upon this on shopee

TP-Link TL-WA855RE
Any advise if this is good? My unifi is 30mbps

Change your router rather than getting an extender, would recommend the Asus RT-AC1300UHP..

The price is insane man. Rm 600 for one.

My bedroom not to say cannot get but a bit slow and 2 bars only.

I hope the rm 70 extender will help me in some way

An extender will just halve the thoroughput, so good luck if you are gaming. A good router is a good investment long-term as you are using your Internet connection daily,, and most of us here are using something similar or better than that. This is the cheapest I could find on Lazada: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/asus-rt-...9mhL4i&search=1

Anyway, up to you, and I hope that the extender does help solve your problem.

What do you mean half the throughout?? Meaning the speed will not be good?? As in half the speed??
*
Speed will suffer a little, but ping times and latency will be higher, compared to when you connect directly through the router.

No worries bro, you can also try the power line extender as suggested by bro Zot if you really don’t want to change your router.
