QUOTE(CarroTT @ May 23 2017, 09:58 AM) Atf sp3 recommended change 20k. When nearing 30k u will feel gearbox more heavy, oil become very black oredi. I do agree SP3 should need more frequent change interval compared with old trusty dexron 3 which does not degrade with color, thickness and smell even when neglected. However, I don't find the SP3 loss or gain viscosity too much after 30k km indeed. The color does not really turn black, but just a bit darker from its new pink red. No funny burn smell at the same time. I think the change in color is due to higher cleaning agent. Too bad Sp4 is not compatible with AT using SP3, unlike previously where SP2 AT could use SP3.

QUOTE(sonic_darkknight @ May 30 2017, 03:08 PM) What about Pennzoil Multi Grade Vehicle ATF? 1 suits for all? Ur owner's manual would state what're the specs required. If one specific ATF meet/exceed that spec = can use.

QUOTE(J Camp @ May 22 2017, 09:43 PM) Just to clarify some issues regarding gearbox oil Currently using Persona Elegance - old model (4 speed auto) The manual book says to change gearbox oil at 40,000 km But I got a few friends during discussion would advise me to change the gearbox oil at 20,000km regardless of the manual book says Anyone here can clarify actually when we should actually replace our ATF or gearbox oil? i changed at 40k the colour still red and quite clear. i think its fine if you\re changing every 40k also. Just dont stretch to 50k.

QUOTE(kidmad @ May 31 2017, 05:03 PM) lasst i change SC charging rm2xx for 4 1L bottles i think. Pricing of this SP4 looks to me like a full synthetic .. so must be shear stable low viscosity type vs high viscosity SP3. Recommended OEM OCI probably much longer than 40,000 km ...
