ya just can't keep a collector down eh schmeichel7?
anyway had a look via yest's EPL Highlights show as well, and noticed that the fonts have changed while the patch is the same. I think maybe it's because that they've an agreement that the logo will only be in place after this season or something like that, hence the use of the old one. pretty sure that a new one will be in place next season tho.
as for the fonts, i noticed that the new fonts are somewhat flatter on the players' bodies as compared to the current fonts. you can see that for the Blackburn players, the fonts look intact (their shape) while the Newcastle players' fonts were more in line with the jersey aka moves with it. This implies that the new ones would be of transfer print and not flock/felt as per this season. This also suggests that the new fonts may come in sets instead of individual, as it is much more easier to print for transfer prints.
anyway, my observation lah...

Hopefully that it's still using velvet la. If printed like the champions league set, then how will I customize my jersey and apply 'FAIZ' on my jersey? Hehehe..

Not really you know. I have other few other Nike and Adidas jerseys which uses similar imprints as "Emirates". None of them have the same problem as the Arsenal one. I don't think its the washing machine problem, rather a manufacturer defect. I have an old Arsenal jersey which i wear for futsal and i wash it at least 15 times more often than the latest jersey, yet it has no problem with the imprint.
I do suspect its the first batch problem since you guys highlighted it. I got this jersey really early as i prebook it at Al Ikhsan.
Giotto, I think you might have been one of the unlucky folks who bought the Arsenal jersey which was faulty. I read somewhere where there was a production problem regarding the new 2006/2008 Arsenal home kit.. Found this article:

Arsenal 06/07 Home Shirt: Announcement
As you may know, there has been a problem with the "Fly Emirates" logo on the 2006/07 home shirt, caused by a fault in the manufacture of certain batches of the logos.
There have been two issues. The first, "delamination", is when the logo actually starts to peel off from the shirt. The second concerns the cracking of the logo.
Although we have been aware of the delamination issue since early August, this was restricted to a single manufacturing batch and as soon as we were aware of the issue we stopped selling the affected shirts. More recently we have become aware of the cracking issue which we are advised only occurs on certain shirts after one or more washings.
Although we are assured only a limited number of batches of shirts are affected, we suggest that all of our fans who have bought a 2006/07 home shirt check it for these problems.
Any fan who has identified a logo delamination or cracking problem with a shirt purchased from one of our retail operations should fill in the below form. We have arranged with Nike that new stock will be available in May and we will exchange faulty shirts, following inspection, for new shirts at the earliest opportunity.
Fans who purchased shirts from other retailers should contact the relevant retailer directly.
Exchange process
Please download the form below and return to Arsenal Home Shopping with the following items:
* Completed form
* Shirt with faulty logo (Shirts that do not have the logo delamination will be returned)
* A valid purchase receipt from an Arsenal retail operation
* Click here to download a returns form.
We recommend that you use a registered mail service so that in the event we do not receive it you will be able to track it through your chosen mail service. The cost of the postage will be refunded (with valid postal receipt only). Please note that if you decide to send this by courier we will not be able to refund the cost.
The Premier League has changed the printing style for the start of 07/08 season and we are pleased to inform you that your new Arsenal shirt will be the first to feature this printing.
The Premier League is also changing the competition patch. Unfortunately this will not be available until June 2007 and we will therefore be unable to provide a replacement patch at this time. If you have a Premier League patch on your shirt, please could you inform us when you return your shirt if you would like us to refund the value of the patch or send you a new patch in June with self application instructions.
Nike regrets that the problems with the Fly Emirates logo were not identified before the shirts were released for sale and is working closely with Arsenal to resolve them as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?thisNav...&article=451277So since you bought the 'original' jersey, maybe you can apply to have a replacement of the jersey. Maybe return it back using the form? Who knows.. hehe.. You can try contacting Arsenal FC or fill in the return form at the website. Eh.. How come I know this well than an Arsenal fan? Hehehehe.... Hope it helps. Who knows you can get a replacement for the troubled jersey.... That's the benefit of buying original jerseys!
BTW the Arsenal 'new kit' photo that was posted earlier, is clearly fake. Here is proof:

As much I am against fake jerseys or Grade AAA fakes, I just can't stand seeing fake rumoured jerseys.. Hehehe..
