Question from a noob..

But nowadays with duo core, C2d? by the way.. are they the same?
what i want to ask is lately they have change those convention "easy to understand" names. but now is what duo core T####, C2d T6400.
i dont understand those figures..mind anyone explain to me pls.. Thank you.

-Intel scrap the word "Pentium" just to forget about the time when they're loser. -Processor now use model number because AMD proved that, the speed of a processor is not appropriate to measure with "GHz", but "intructions / works per cycle" ... something like that, because there're other factors that can contribute to speed ... not only "GHz".
