The band configuration is not available on E5186. Not sure if it's possible as well.

Anyway, in my experience, unless you have really decent signal for both bands, you are better off just having single carrier.

Digi is running only 5Mhz on B8, 10/15Mhz on B3. I don't think B8 will be faster if you already have B3 now. It's definitely going to help with penetration tho.

Just wished to get better speed with 3CA lol.
Because i check my phone, it support 3+7+8.

hi All,

is this Infinite 150 stable to use on gaming and streaming youtube?
any cap or limitation so far??

tq

LTE off peak hour is quite stable. Peak hour usually have some random spike.
But LTE-A is very stable. Most probably failover between the 2 bands.

Overall experience, better than streamyx a lot.

I notice most are E5186s-61a variant. E5186S-22a variant price is freaking high cry.gif If take 61a variant what are the drawback except carrier aggregation since the location I use no LTE-A coverage yet.

Why pay extra RM300 for a cacat E5186?
1. You can't use CA.
2. You may not use phone call (since 3G may not available and voLTE will never support for local telco here.)

Actually at RM300 it is still a decent Cat4 LTE modem considering B310 is around that price as well.

Yup. But i prefer to get AC790s. Did you buy that last time?

QUOTE(#Victor @ Jul 11 2017, 10:56 AM)
Huh? Why E5186 consider cacat? It using ac WiFi and support dual band which already better than the above mentioned 4G router.
1. CA is not really important since the place I going to use have no LTE-A coverage.
2. Cannot make phone call? But it comes with two RJ11 telephone ports?

Btw for B315s, can Internet and call use simultaneously?
*
1. Cacat mean the CA cannot work here.
For my opinion, if buy E5186, must get the -22. Because the feeling like buying a Ferrari with 80kmh top speed.
But it is up to you, because you decide how much value you paid.

2. Malaysia is using -22 variant, other than that, you need check the detailed spec yourself. Some of the variants, partial or all of the 2G, 3G or 4G band do not work here.
If the 2G/3G bands are not supported, mean phone call is not allowed.
I check the spec of -61, it supports the 3G bands here. So call may safe.

Digi has launched band 8 at my house. Speed is 20m.
My modem which is currently locked to band 7 has more stable speed too.

But worse is, i can't log into LTE-A now. The phone always lock into band 8 only.

Where is ur location?
My area band 8 sites all been locked.
Which mean only can enter once the band 7 band 3 signal is weak....

Btw, band 8 no CA.
Only L26+L18 or L18+L26
Let me know if B8 can CA others... I wanna test my phone lolx

Ipoh.
My B3 & B7 are not weak. I didn't remember the RSSI reading, but usually B3 3-4 bars, B7 2-3 bars, and latest B8 4-5 bars.

My phone support 3CA. So far only work with B3+B7.

Band 8 can CA, but it just can't CA here. I don't know what is the reason. But i very confirm my phone support 3CA(3+7+8) by reading the modem config file, and double confirm it with your link. The taiwan telco.
