QUOTE(cicak.fakir @ Jun 17 2017, 01:03 PM) it's 3-lanes each way on the PLUS highway between Juru and Hutan Kampung. yet, no matter how optimal your vehicle condition is, you cannot escape from the jammed traffic from time to time. i totally donno where that is... But if upgrading my vehicle may save some times and/or offer better comfort... then why not... That's why i wanna know.. if there'll be noticable difference if i change hardware...

QUOTE(mois @ Jun 17 2017, 07:51 AM) Plan to use i150. But my area only normal 4G which is around 10mbps. Sometimes 20mbps. Which modem router to use? Edited: D-Link DWR-921 (Internet Only) - CAT4 150mbps - 2.4ghz wifi Saw this modem in local pc shop going for RM4xx. Worth it? That's a perfectly decent router. Or Huawei B310 or TP Link MR6400. Any cat 4 routers which support band 3 and 7 LTE would be sufficient. U don't have to buy E5186. I'm using it but I reckon it's overkill and way too expensive. Hard to buy anyway

I keep forgetting to ask this for the past few weeks. For those using E5186, is it normal for the "signal" LED not to light up? However, the signal bar is showing. Voice is also not but I think that's normal because I don't have any phone plugged into my router. Anyway, after using Mimo antenna, my WiFi speed is consistently at close to 50Mbps.

How do you position it anyway, I tried using b310 with that antenna, seems like internal antenna has better speed Is it like outside your window?

I don't know which is cheap and which one is expensive. The RMB 60 one sold in Taobao. Nope, I cannot open my window to put it outside because my room is air-conditioned, so windows are closed 100% all the time. Plus my room has no direct exposure to outside, mine is in the kitchen. So, I put it inside my room behind my closed windows. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jun 17 2017, 08:12 PM

Without is around 30Mbps+ and sometimes can boost up to 40 plus, depending on timing. Now it is like almost all the time close to 50Mbps. Nope, I only rent a room here, so the most is I can only move around my room. But I didn't, just placing around within 2 meters perimeter from the router.

Will have to move around the house till I get better speeds/bars.
