hi,
i got a pentium 3 550mhz with p3 mobo and sd ram, but i want to change the casing to those P4 casing, those with USB port infront, but as i know P4 casing power supply is higher, so it is ok to fit my P3 cpu, mobo into a P4 casing? and how about the stabality? thanks!

Should be no problems at all. Juz make sure ur PSU is 20+4 Pins design so dat is backward compatible. Anyway u should post this on hardware Q&A.

Casing shouldnt be a problem, most casing now a days have multiple mounting screws/brackets. The thing that you should be concerned about is the powersupply, make sure it supports a 20pin power connector....

QUOTE(jcliew @ Mar 20 2007, 09:58 AM) BTX only available on higher end casing if i not mistaken But FYI there r sum BTX upgrade kit on market as well BTX is intended for replacement of ATX (came out on 2003), straight from wikipedia. Interesting... but it failed though. Btw TS, this should be in Hardware Q&A. This post has been edited by blindbox: Mar 20 2007, 08:04 PM

I guess....ther's no problem with that.... P3 shud fit in P4 casing. Furthermore, the P4 consume more power than P3....dunt worry bro....
