Love taking pics around my apartment... if u know the name of these insects n what they do, dont hesitate to mention it

The 1st pic bug about the size of a medium fly on my pillow.

The 2nd is a bug that is huge. Just outside the apartment enterance. The bug was kind enough to allow me to put a ruler near him. When u touch him he will make a chattering noise with his jaws, which r pretty big.

Hahah..... cant... u know bugs... here one minute gone the next... worest case.. since u know what kind of bugs they r u really dont want to get close in case they jump at u n sting (or if they r like a blister beetle). The 1st bug was done with macro, on my bed, in my undies at 2am(?)...

Anyway it was done with an A400 Canon.

The first pic is of a stinger. Will be a nasty one if u get one. Perculiar thing of this insect is that it stun a caterpilar and lay an egg in it and carry the worm into its nest. The baby stiger will eat the caterpilar until pupal stage. The caterpilar will not die until wholly consumed.

The one with long feelers give strong bad smell when agitated.

shinchan^^ mentioned macro... since the bugger was still there i took a few but will post only 2 since am a noob n i dont want to waste lyn bandwidth.

Added on March 20, 2007, 9:53 aminoitu, it does look like a wasp but it was only about 1cm long (head to butt) ... u can see the weaves on my pillow as a reference.

Yeah a bit bright... but u expect from consummer camera? i could have used a thin piece of white paper to dumpen the flash.... but the macro shots r not too bright i think.

the power on 2 consumer DC = less failure shots

ps: sure cannot compare with DSLR + semi pro lense la
