The short answer is of course, no. SSD's or even HDD's do no affect gaming performance, at least, not by much. But great SSD's would offer a much faster loading time for gaming, especially games that require a ton of data to be transferred in and out so that your awesome CPU and GPU can digest them as fast as they can, just so that you dont have time to cook your maggie.
