QUOTE(cucubud @ May 18 2017, 02:41 PM)
There is only one FWS.
From the FWS, the indoor fiber cable goes straight to the BTU port.
Why need another FWS?

FWS is acting as the junction box.
From the pole, the black outdoor fiber cable goes into the FWS.
From the FWS, indoor fiber cable goes directly to the BTU port.

Outdoor cable rosak, call TM.
Indoor cable rosak, pay from own pocket.

Dont really understand you sweat.gif sweat.gif
This is what u said...

QUOTE(cucubud @ May 18 2017, 01:55 PM)
If I am not mistaken, the black outdoor fiber will reach the first wall only.
They can drill a hole on that wall and terminate it on a FWS on the inside of that wall.
From this TM FWS to your preinstalled FWS, it will be the indoor fiber cable.
TM got provide one indoor fiber cable. Not sure what is the length. (7 or 8 m).
I changed mine.
*
you are saying this: black outdoor fiber -> FWS on first wall -> indoor fiber cable -> preinstalled FWS.

Wont there be 2 FWS? 1+1=2 blink.gif

Currently: black outdoor fiber -> preinstalled FWS.
Before this: black outdoor fiber -> FTB -> indoor fiber cable -> preinstalled FWS.
I am thinking: black outdoor fiber -> FWS -> indoor fiber cable -> preinstalled FWS, since FTB is no longer provided.

I know it just act like a junction box, but having 2 shorter cable is better than 1 long cable. (other than the attenuation)

QUOTE(westlife @ May 18 2017, 05:58 PM)
haha. I download for my parent house becos only my Father is using unifi and he only uses it to stream YouTube video and WhatsApp. 10Mbps is more than enough for him since he can never utilise the 30Mbps (upgraded to 50Mbps soon for rm179). Only my Sister weekend will come back and use only but she is also light user. They also do not watch HyppTV.

So rm129 every month saves rm50 for them is actually quite ok.
*
If only youtube streaming and no other job running, I think 4mbps also enough biggrin.gif

Yup, 100Mbps 29.90 dollars... ANd that's obsolete package... Now minimum speed being offered is 500Mbps for most telco..

0.53mbps for upload speed was a way too low for the current era!  cry.gif  I'm pretty sure will stuck with this for another 5 years unless I moved to city centre which seems impossible now.

QUOTE(elmond @ May 18 2017, 09:57 PM)
its very tricky, i'm communicate with the iflix support team at least 3 days, always ask me register new account.

finally i sent email said all steps not working, i'm give up, then they just add my last register email account with free redeem until end of year.

steps provided by support team:

To access your Unifi subscription, your device must be connected to your Unifi Internet Connection upon signing up. We suggest creating a new account on your computer.

- restart your Unifi Internet Connection
- connect PC to Unifi
- Clear your PC's cache and browsing history, or access Google Chrome Incognito Mode
- Launch play.iflix.com
- Sign up for a new account

You should be able to access your subscription until December 31, 2017.

Connecting your device to your Unifi Internet Connection is very crucial.

Thx for the guide. But I saw on some place that the free iflix does not need any account creation. Just click and register ur device with flix to start viewing. Most important thing is that you should decide the 5 devices for free viewing because no changing of devices allowed once you've registered.

Should I go ahead with this package or drop by to tmpoint?
*

*

Already asked them, they said not available. But i wonder why TM keep putting tent outside the housing area asking people to sign up for Unifi (30/50). If Unifi is available, shouldn't Lite be available too ?
*
When they are ouside ur house, u can just go ask and subscribe for lite, provided ur house is covered (got put up tent in front of ur house does not mean u can subscribe cos port might be full etc etc)

Good job TS

Found this reseller website http://unifistreamyx.info/ I'm not affiliated with them, can delete this post if needed.
*
This website is asking for copy of NRIC, which is not required for application as TM shifted to thumbprint system. better be careful with what u give...

I just check my house coverage using https://tm.com.my/#/explore and found out my neighbor has unifi coverage, but my house no coverage... lol so sad, just few steps away
*
I think u can walk in to tmpoint and check with them. Last time my house also no coverage but neighbor got. Then I notice that one house behind my lorong install unifi and my house become covered (not sure whether they are related or not..). Might be because TM install one more new fiber termination point behind my house for that house. I will be the 2nd user of that fiber termination point.. thumbup.gif

that's why I always have a habit -- screenshot every claims from live chat & TM official replies from various sources.
at least we have some black & white backup for counter arguments if they try to screw you up in future. bruce.gif

Its the correct way to do. Protect our rights. Luckily they count speed increase as upgrade, not price. rclxms.gif

If they were to use price, only 1Mbps upgraders are not affected.

hi everyone...

may I confirm that for current May 31, 2017 promotion...it's the free 9 most wanted hypptv channels for 3 months...

but after 31 May, I can still get the package RM129 without the 600 mins call right?

thanks!
*
I am not sure. I asked TM before and they are tight lipped. They just say anything will be announced after 31 May... Maybe they really got something that is not supposed to be announce before 31 May... vmad.gif
