are you meaning like  software like  apache, or cctv ..
*
Sorry.. i meant if you all r getting WAN IP like 10.x.x.x where TM nutz put you behind a NAT. When it happens, many ppl found their cctv or port forwarding not working.

According to my installer, they no longer install FTB (dont mind this tho)

POLE --- (black cable) ---> EXT HOUSE WALL (coiled round without case) --- (black cable)---> INSIDE HOUSE WALL --- (black cable) ---> FWS (mounted on wall near BTU) --- INSIDE HOUSE WALL (white cable) ---> BTU
*
Hmm what is FTB and where it is usually positioned in relation to the nice connection sequence you posted there?

what i mean is, is the TEL jack output of the BTU using VoIP (aka digital packet) as the backbone?
*
Yes.
The BTU does the translation between voip and the traditional POTS analog signal.
