Hi guys,
Two days now with Unifi Lite. My package is Unifi Lite RM129 No free voice call Hypptv Jumbo Lite Thanks to LeonTan for serving me. 30th June 2017 applied with him , make appointment for installation on 2nd July 2017. The whole installation took around 2 hours and 30 minutes.Landed house. The installation should finish earlier but my house developer didnt install connectors at FTB and FWS, so the installer take some time to find the connectors first. This what I get, and put them in cabinet at TV Panel:- 1) RG - TM DLINK DIR-850L (H/W: B1, F/W:2.08TM) - 1 year warranty 2) BTU - TM Fibrehome AN5506-04-BG - lifetime warranty as long as still subscribe with TM No dect phone. No HyppTV STB After installation, do some testing. The speed is very good. Average D/L speed 10.30 Mbps with U/L speed 5.80Mbps with SpeedTest app. With Fast.com , can get average 8Mbps++. Even 2 devices stream Youtube in HD, the 3rd device still can get D/L speed 8.8Mbps and U/L speed 5.30Mbps. However, I noticed there is some delay/lag when we first load website / speedtest app / youtube. For example, when we open the Speedtest app, the app stay on "Find the best server" for almost 10 seconds before the "Begin Test" appear. Same if we try to browse/surf internet in Google Chrome. After changed the DNS for IPv6 to Google DNS, the problem seems gone. No more delay/lag. The 5Ghz wifi only can cover ground floor. The 2.4Ghz can cover whole house (ground and 1st floor) with no noticeable signal drop. There was one time, the D/L speed drop to 2Mbps on the first day, but back to normal after reboot the router. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Jul 4 2017, 04:43 PM) for my desktop pc...when i load youtube...i also notice there is a delay before the video loads...but once streaming..it is fast and totally no lag... Yes, only at the beginning, the delay is very disturbing, after that, speed as usual. the DNS setting, may i check if you update in the PC or at the router level? thanks! Change it in your router IPv6 Primary DNS Server: 2001:4860:4860::8888 Secondary DNS Server: 2001:4860:4860::8844 IPv4 Primary DNS Server: 8.8.8.8 Secondary DNS Server: 8.8.4.4 |

QUOTE(G0046 @ Jul 4 2017, 05:05 PM) What modem do you get? QUOTE(uncle08 @ Jul 4 2017, 05:08 PM) Congrats! New modem with new warranty and got two Access Points given, 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Last time old one just one AP and ppl complaint cannot goes into rooms. Now better! Actually not two Access Points. Only one Access Point/Router/RG with dual band capabilities. RM129 is very worth with only two devices accessing HyppTV Everywhere access on web or mobile android or iOS. Boleh lah~~~ watching local news is better than using celaka Tonton with a lots of advertisement blocking our view. The other one is BTU/ Termination unit/modem. Fiber from FWS -->> BTU -->> Router & VoIP Router --> PC/Phone & IPTV |

QUOTE(alien3d @ Jul 7 2017, 06:04 PM) Webe 4G very good actually... but if you stay 4G only, can't receive call.. QUOTE(uncle08 @ Jul 7 2017, 06:06 PM) Wow, RM109....you sure? I think it will be the same as normal RM149 Unifi Lite package...need to redeem the phone from TM...Rm129 free call, does they provide you free phone? I heard the phone need redeem from TMRewards online by login. with 3700 points redeem that lousy RM37 phone so that you can make call. Actually any phone also can use. Just concern RM0.20 / minute call rate...shocking expensive! |

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Jul 9 2017, 10:54 PM) The monthly hypptv subscriptions fee add-on rm30/monthly is it include GST? according to their FAQ.. Unifi Lite can not subscribe HyppTV with set top box. So is it meaning that if I subscribe Unifi Lite + hypptv subscriptions is RM129 (without voice call) + RM30 (hypptv)?? Unifi Lite = RM149 if want HyppTV, add RM30 means you are subscibing Unifi Advance with HyppTV = RM179 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Jul 9 2017, 10:23 PM) Hope some Unifi sifu can answer my questions: 1. unifi phone need BTU unit to translate digital signal to analog signal. assuming fibre connection is still available during the outage, you need to use UPS to power the phone and the BTU to be able to use the phone1) During a power outage, can the phone be hooked up to a UPS/power bank/some sort of battery so that it still can be used? 2) If I am a Unifi subscriber who has to move to another address (it is in a Unifi-service area), how much will it cost to transfer the subscription to the new address? Thanks!! 2. Relocation fee is RM300. However, according to their FAQ, first time relocation is free » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
