Finally got my Unifi Lite RM129 installed yesterday. The journey to register for Unifi is not simple for me..

Although my area is covered by Unifi, but I failed to register because TM said port is full. Check with 100 and TM Point claimed port is full, unable to register and no project to add port. However, after some checking around, do find ways around it(actually, there are ports available).

Wish to thanks

1) pwlow, for he good support and never ending tried. Others just ignore me after found "port is full" but pwlow still tried various ways to over come the challenge and continue. Beside that, he is prompt on his reply and attend appointment on time (for thumbprint etc). He is a TM super agent!!
2) alien3d, for sharing his experience for Unifi installation although TM telling him port full

The whole installation took around 2 hours, my is landed house. With
1) TPLink Archer C1200 as router (Dual band)
2) Huawei BTU HG8240W

No dect phone yet, suppose to claim from TM point.
No HyppTV STB - will not get. However, only with HyppTV everywhere access. Did not check, not going to use

After installation, no time to do much test. Only confirm it is running cause got appointment outside.

I found the Huawei BTU box indicator light quite bright, any method to off or dim it via setting?

hi Guys...

just some sharing... finally today i got my router changed from TP-Link C1200 model to TM's RGX4400 router...

my problem with unifi lite was using the tp-link router, all android phones will have connection issue...especially uploading to certain websites or most websites... if you follow my post previously, i will have upload problem to mudah or even lowyat (upload attachment in post) and this only happens to my Android phones. When i use speedtest, upload will be 0Mbps...

So looks like according to the technician who is attending to my ticket, i am the 2nd case for him...another user facing similar issue... this issue, using the same router will not appear for Unifi 30Mbps package, the technician told me something about different server or routing, i don't really catch what he meant, but conclusion is... for Unifi Lite, if any of you using TP-Link C1200 and you have wifi connection issue to your Android phones... best chance is try change the router...

FYI, i had to persistently raise a few tickets to get this issue solved. Previously, they sent the installer to my house and he only know how to follow the step by step installation of router and then he claim if phone problem, it's not telekom issue already. But this time, looks like they escalated this case to another level and another technician came with the installer and he did a more thorough debug, like checking every single setup in my router...and also i was told for new router, ipv6 enable is OK, ipv6 issue was old issue already...

Anyway, glad i can finally enjoy my unifi on my handphone..... yes !!!!!!

So you mean the tp link router? If yes... time to log ticket and be persistent to the customer service... talk nicely and tell them your pain not able to use android phone...

But if you saying you got the same issue on rgx440 router then hmm.... that is another separate issue already... smile.gif still can consider change router....

Yes, problem with Tp link C1200. Speed test shown 0 upload. Problem with eg lowyat forum reply

However, no problem with Pc n iOS for same site or test.

May switch another router to check.

Thanks !!! Useful for me....
That's why I subscribe to unifi lite... pay rm1 monthly to keep back the old streamyx number... smile.gif

Only have a Linksys x3500, wonder it will be working as Unifi router. Else, need to borrow some router to try.

Why don't you open a ticket with tm customer service like me and keep bugging them until you get another free router replacement? Nothing to lose here....

It's a pain dealing with TM, already have bad experience for Unifi application - telling me port full but actual case is not. Besides that, also to utilize old router, to learn a few things about setting it.

If determine it is the router problem, then won't want to bother TM. ...... Inner peace

Finally got my tplink ac1200 with Android solved. Was having problem with zero upload with Android but no issue when using pc or laptop. After change to another router, problem solved.

Then called TM, explained the issue. They reset my password and system. Asked me use back Tplink, then to my surprise, everything ok
