That's strange. We can't get internet service while connected to the router with that ip address.
We have to try to get ip address starting with 192.168.x.x when connected to the router, then only can get to use the internet.

We are talking about the router ip address here, right?

Sorry... But I dont get what you are trying to say. What I was trying to say was that the port 4 of our TM Router, which is normally used for hypp tv connection would be automatically disabled meaning we wont be able to get any HYPP TV connections. But Lite users can still view Hypp TV Everywhere through TM's App Hypp TV lite which would need to be downloaded into your smart phone as long as you are connected to the internet, then you can view it anywhere.

I believe some agents give "rebates" though, which is taken from their commissions from the sales.. not sure the legality in that though. Also, the agents may have better customer service (perhaps only up to the point that the service is installed, but that may be better than nothing)

While Im here, id like to know if my contract would be extended if I "downgrade" from VIP30 to the lite...? If it will, will I also get new equipment or should I simply stop the current out-of-contract VIP30 and then register for the lite?

You have to download the hypp tv everywhere APP on your phone. You cant watch with your existing Hypp TV Stb.

After your registration is complete and unifi is installed, TM will send you the login name and password through text message.
