QUOTE(sam240 @ May 31 2017, 10:44 AM) Thanks for your reply. as I stay in condo, I tot they still can use the existing copper wire (telephone line) for Unifi... haha... They can use copper for Unifi provide your area is within coverage and there is no fibre at that area.

QUOTE(shanew3stgalz @ May 31 2017, 02:03 PM) why some agent offer 129, some not . why o why ? is there any different ? More comm. Actually Unifi Lite is Rm99 + HyppTv Everywhere Rm30 = Rm129. The Rm20 is for 600 Minutes calls. IF the agent is reluctant to get you the Rm129 package, just try another one.

QUOTE(monkeybeh @ May 31 2017, 02:56 PM) i don't think there'll be SMS? Self redemption/collection. Not cleared how it works as I didn't care bout it. Subscriber is supposed to go over to TM Point and collect after the first bill is received.

QUOTE(monkeybeh @ May 31 2017, 03:14 PM) Highly unlikely? Charging fark up price still want impose quote somemore? Prior to this isn't they still need to redeem the points first? A friend at TM Point did it for me and asked me to go collect. But I asked before, if not then you just need to go to TM Point to redeem your free phone after installation and TM's system is updated with your subscription.

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Jun 5 2017, 06:10 PM) Hi all... assuming if I wanna buy a router myself for my unifi lite... any specific settings I need to follow? Or basically just setup use the username and password and it will work? Want to make sure before i commit buying a new router... thank you. TM recommends Asus routers. I have read bad reviews regarding DLink models with UNIFI users. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Jun 5 2017, 06:14 PM

QUOTE(socratesman @ Jun 4 2017, 12:40 PM) Those of you already on Unifi Lite -Â u getting public or private IP ? I want to know that too. My cctv was previously on dyndns so I had to call TM to enable public IP for my Streamyx. But I have switch over to ip cameras, didnt bother asking TM if we are getting public or private IP. QUOTE(nuke13 @ Jun 6 2017, 08:16 AM) I'm currently using Unifi 10mbps with old telephone wiring not the fibre type. Maybe copper. Will this unifi lite 10mbps the same speed and performance in term of reliability with unifi vip 10mbps? I don't care about the upload speed. I do a lot of streaming via Kodi. TM claims there is not much difference. Most of us here are on fibre though. You are the first I read that is using copper. The installer used existing copper wiring for your house? I have asked TM installers before and they claim that those in Condos are actually using copper because it is already build in there by the developer and there is nothing tm can do to change the wiring layout there. So for condos its fibre all the way to the condo control box and then copper all the way to your unit.

QUOTE(nuke13 @ Jun 6 2017, 08:27 AM) My apartment is old building from the 90s. Not new condo. So, if the wiring is the same, I think the speed will be more or less the same right? I'm asking if got someone here previously using Vip 10 and currently using lite. I'm paying Rm179 for Vip 10 and not really using Hypptv and fixed line phone. Unifi lite Rm129 package seems a good fit for me. Its the same infrastructure and network, why would not the speed be the same? But how come you are paying so much for VIP 10?? Time to do a package change.

Oh and I have came to a conclusion after many test and tries, Hypp TV Everywhere cant be used with your original Huawei STB box. Hypp TV Everywhere which comes standard on your Unifi Lite Package cant be viewed through the supplied STB box by TM as the port 4 of your router which is for Hypp TV is disabled by default on all Unifi Lite packages.
The only choice would be to 'mod' the original box to enable Hypp Tv Everywhere app to be installed into the box to view Hypp Tv Everywhere which is part of the subscription.

QUOTE(cucubud @ Jun 6 2017, 05:29 PM) That's strange. We can't get internet service while connected to the router with that ip address. We have to try to get ip address starting with 192.168.x.x when connected to the router, then only can get to use the internet. We are talking about the router ip address here, right? Not BTU to the internet ip address. Sorry... But I dont get what you are trying to say. What I was trying to say was that the port 4 of our TM Router, which is normally used for hypp tv connection would be automatically disabled meaning we wont be able to get any HYPP TV connections. But Lite users can still view Hypp TV Everywhere through TM's App Hypp TV lite which would need to be downloaded into your smart phone as long as you are connected to the internet, then you can view it anywhere.

QUOTE(faizdtk @ Jun 7 2017, 02:06 PM) Anyone have a problem login to Hypptv everywhere? I got error message saying incorrect password. I contact the tm livechat and they sms me hypptv purchase pin. How do I use it? You have to download the hypp tv everywhere APP on your phone. You cant watch with your existing Hypp TV Stb. After your registration is complete and unifi is installed, TM will send you the login name and password through text message.

QUOTE(wild_card_my @ Jun 7 2017, 02:38 PM) The Hypp TV app is actually very well made. I love it, I prefer watching it on the phone vs on the STB or windows web browsers (I cant get it to work actually, they need some plugins) Im using it on the original Huawei STB box now because I want to view it on my LED and yes, it requires some tweaking.

QUOTE(faizdtk @ Jun 7 2017, 04:10 PM) Nope. The tm live chat already made a report for my problem. I need to wait for their reply. Strange. I would suspect they didn't activate the ID for you as it states it requires 24 hours for activation after receiving the login ID.
