AN-M2HD SPOTTED AT CEBIT 2007

i heard in some forum this board will release on this Mid APRIl tongue.gif

QUOTE
On the AMD side of things, abit and many other vendors expressed concern for AMD's processor lineup and have thus relegated the motherboard focus to the mid and low-end series for obvious reasons. One of the more notable boards to look out for is this new AN-M2HD motherboard based on the NVIDIA GeForce 7050 + nForce 630 chipset for AM2 processors. Integrated GeForce 7 graphics in a one-chip chipset solution offering HDMI, VGA, S-Video, quad SATA 3Gbps ports, full analog surround and S/PDIF output, this is looking to be an interesting HD-HTPC platform for those building a system on AMD processors.

The new board may not be out that early, but the NF-M2 nview is slated to be discontinued very soon. I can't see abit releasing a new board unless its based on the nforce 6xx series chip, and that chipset is not supposed to be available till middle of the year (taking into account time for it to hit the market)

The nforce 6xx series chipset that has a Geforce 70xx integrated graphics will have near identical specs to the 6150/430 chipset used on the NF-M2 nview, differences are that there is one less IDE connector, HDMI support is added and the number of USB sockets is increased to 12. If the picture of the AN-M2HD from CEBIT is any indication, the specs are probably accurate, and the board uses the chipset in question; though this raises the question of how did Abit obtain the chipset to build an actual model of the board when its supposedly not yet available.
