sry newb here

what is S mode?  (TV)?
*
Canon calls it 'Tv' and Nikon calls it 'S'. Canon didn't emply the 'S' in its camera becoz long time ago Canon used to have another 'S' mode, Single or Continous Shots in its old film camera. From that day onwards Canon dun have a 'S' mode, hence the 'Tv' to represent Shutter Priority. Hari ini dalam Sejarah tongue.gif

Yeah, Canon dun wanna confuse those jumping from Nikon in seeing the S-mode thinking it's Single or Continous shots. Nikon's profesional models have S-mode, Cs-mode and CH-mode for it's Shutter drive.

Wanna ask all the DSLR sifu here...
just curious la, do u all use the DOF button while composing with viewfinder?

The depth of field button creates, as it were, a preview of the effects of the selected aperture. laugh.gif

Oh that ... it's a legacy from film SLR. It's better to preview your DOF before shooting so you can get the 'right place' sharp or how deep is your love how deep the sharpness goes.

I shoot almost exclusively using manual mode, unless I am hard-pressed for time or feeling lazy.

if i am the user - low light/indoor/outdoor (aperture mode) thank god for the beauty of f2.4

if ask someone else to take pic or lend to them, set to P for them...and sometimes quite lazy so set to P for them too.
