Thing about the S8 is that the screens aren't literally as big as you'd expect it to be.
Since screens are measured diagonally, and in the case of the S8 it is stretched to an 18:9 ratio.

What this means is that you don't have more screen estate to work on, you have more screen to reach because it's so long.
If I'm Samsung I'll accurately state the surface area of the screen instead of the outdated diagonally measured screen size. It makes a false impression.

anyhow no need macbooks to enjoy the ecosystem, a simple ipad + iphone combo can already.

if someone calls you to your iphone, your ipad will ring as well, so if my phone is upstairs and i'm downstairs playing ipad i can accept the call without running to take the phone
same with SMS/imessage, as long you got iOS device, all synced, sent and receive from them
