Here got people calculate the prediction fuel price based on several factors or formula, ie ringgit value, fuel market price etc.
Obviously the "nak election" is not in the equations

Up or down in the past few months never related to election or politics, only related to crude price and Forex.
But you should expect +10sen (more or less) when we migrate to Euro4M RON95 which is good for your car and environment. It will happen just after GE14 and before October.

In general, RON95 price will be increased by a few sen in 2018 due to better quality EURO4M RON95 (before October 2018).

One off unless govt subsidise the migration to cleaner RON95.
Not really related to weekly petrol pricing.

Use the average crude price X RM (Vs USD) to estimate.
But for RON95, our benchmark is Singapore MOP which is usually adjusted 1 week later after crude price.
Eg 1 month ago Brent crude at USD69 X 3.85 -> we pay near RM2.3x.
Then drop to USD 62 X RM3.90, but our RON95 pricing up a bit then drop -10sen 1-2 weeks later and drop again tonight.
But Brent is already up to USD65 now, so our RON95 should go up in early March to RM2.2x.

Please check the petrol prices in Taiwan for the past few weeks. 40 Taiwanese cents is less than our 10 Sen.

Very unlikely in the next few months... OPEC, Russia and Malaysia had already agreed to cut crude production to maintain the crude price, unless United States shale gas producers are willing to sell the gas at loss!
The crude price should be in the range of USD 60-70 (Brent).
