Qualcomm licensed the patent to samsung exynos.

The fee is cheap if samsung exynos is for samsung use. If other company wants to buy samsung exynos,  the fee is higher and it makes more sense to buy snapdragon instead.

Only 1 time did meizu purchase the exynos

Summary:

Exynos is cheap for samsung but expensive for others .

off course it given to samsung but my opinion qualcomm sure put exclusion clause inside their agreement where samsung cannot sell their own chipset on USA and so on countries... like some car manufacturing if want to sell need to use local brand and so on...just to balance the market normally...if not it become monopoly...

From a few pages back. Not really impossible leh. I'm now no. 40 and only made around 25++ transactions.
Seems like not that hard to get coz they disallow those people that joined previous competition (S7edge and wireless chargers) to enter.

wow... is that 25 transaction? or rm2500..

I finally figured out how to change LTE band with S8. My earlier complaint about the gaming lag is not due to soc overheating like I initially claimed. It's due to this LTE band selection. It only affect Maxis user since they are the only one with two band (not sure if digi, celcom etc still stuck with Band 7 @2600MHz).

Maxis operate on two 4G band aka band 3 (1800mhz) or band 7 (2600mhz). Normally it wouldn't cause any issue especially when you're outdoor. But when indoors, it really matters. It's alike the situation with dual band router. Lower frequency number gives better wall penetrating while higher number give better speed. The S8 seem to prefer Band7 for whatever reason.

First, dial *#2263#. Then select your sim (stack) for your data. Then go to band selection and make sure automatic is selected.

Next press the 3 dots and back to go back to previous menu. Now goto band disable>LTE. Press reset. Then you will see an asterick for each band. Untick for everything EXCEPT BAND 3. Once you're done, you can end it. You'll most probably noticed your indoor 4G signal improved somewhat.

You can check before and after result by using *#0011#. It would show you the band it is using and the signal strength. Lower number is better for signal strength.

Also take note that you don't need to do this if you're getting 4G+. 4G+ will use more than one band, therefore it will be using both bands.

nowadays all major telco have both band 3 and band 7 LTE due to not enough spectrum... so skmm already given permission to use 1800mhz for lte...

I am using meizu on 2015 which is only had few band and not support band 7 and that time only maxis given permission to use band 3 LTE... my digi stuck at H+ until early 2016, got 4G already...I remember when i am using at penang around september 2015, my phone get 4G(means at that time digi maybe on trial mode for 1800mhz)
