For those looking for non-tempered glass screen protector, here are 2 recommendations. I have bought several from different sellers at Taobao and find the 2 below most satified. They really stick well and front and back included.
Yup it definitely looks like something you'd get from matte screens. Mine is the clear version and it has this annoying colored noise (like what happens when you have oil on the screen). Can't say, I asked for front only and they said they only provide a full body coat (case friendly or not). No discounts, RM190 for mine.
If you want really clear version always choose PET based protector. No matter how clear they claim the TPU base protector is, there is always sort of "noise" like you said. This is just the nature of the flexible material used.
example, PET cannot re-install if you install it wrongly the first time, if you fukkup means you fukkup and gotta go get a new piece.
TPU with wet installation you can re-adjust how many times you like as long as still have the installation liquid and not dried up with hairdryer.
PET have no self-healing properties, if you scratch it, it will remain visible no matter how fine or micro the scratch is. While TPU type often comes or claims to have self-healing properties where it can mask minor microscratches.
EDIT: Oh and one more thing, the reason most S8 SP are TPU is because that flexible material allows it to be more adhesive on the curved edged screens of our phone. Hence TPU being more popular and recommended than PET. PET is great for flat screens, but for curved edges overtime it will lift up.
I agree there are pros and cons to each material. Depends on what you want and what you can tolerate. If the screen clarity and smoothness of touch are important to you choose PET. If long term durability of the TPU sticking on your phone and its self-healing properties are important then opt for TPU. Best of all use it naked to enjoy the glass maximum user experience
Hi..is it ok to leave phone on wireless charging overnight? I notice my phone is warm in the morning. Using normal wireless charging..not fast. I used to charge (usb cable) my s7 overnight, everynight..doesn't feel warm at all.
Andrewtst reported previously that the wireless charger is not cut off and continuously charging the S8+ once the battery is full. If you are using wireless charger don't charge it overnight. Take it off once the battery is full. Wait for samsung to fix the software.
