QUOTE(benson92 @ May 16 2017, 05:56 PM) nearly bought neo hybrid when i saw it, but too bad din pick gun metal color as mine is midnight black, chose rugged armor instead My first choice was rugged armor but that day when putting on the rugged armor can see it will push out my SP. In the end settled with neo hybrid shiny black. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ May 19 2017, 09:28 AM) That freebies lot you will not get if one buy now from official retail outlets. Prices are still rm3299 n 3699. Knowledgeable buyers will buy elsewhere n probably online through say Lazada , Gemfive etc QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 19 2017, 09:44 AM) G5 no longer sell electronics... Lazada aint the cheapest. Honestly, Malaysian in general is like this, cheap they scare, expensive they complain. QUOTE(darrenlam @ May 19 2017, 09:51 AM) In general Malaysia the word cheap (aka too good to be true) is associated with potential scam... That's why part of popular questions asked in this forum is credibility of sellers. Saving a few hundred RM vs peace of mind - getting scammed, getting defective unit. I go for peace of mind anytime. But then those who dare to take the risk with online purchases, your risk may reward you. IMHO, the reward i.e. few hundred RM discount is not worth it for the gamble.I just checked with Anker - their eBay official store ships to Malaysia. There's a 3x USB C cable bundle for 13.99USD now. Again, I'd rather pay more (currency, and shipping) for peace of mid rather than risking getting bad quality cables and damaging my electronics in the long run. QUOTE(LordDenning @ May 19 2017, 12:08 PM) Im sorry but I didn't have to make a mess or anything unruly to get mine replaced. +1 Not sure why the doubt from others here. Every store has their own SOP. If you haven't paid for the phone you can always reject. Nobody is stopping you. This is the easiest way.I went and collect my preorder set from Samsung Gardens, I didn't check properly on the spot and just accepted my unit. Before leaving I asked the store manager if anything wrong with the phone what can I do, he told me within 3 days can come back and they will exchange a new set for me and if after 3 days I would have to go to service center instead. He also then asked me if I was worried about the red-tint issue and I said yes. He told me not to worry about it and so I went home.. upon reaching home and playing around with the phone I found mine had green edges rather than the red tint and some scuffs on the metal near the volume rocker. So I immediately went back to Gardens to exchange. And they allowed me to exchange, no questions asked. I just told them im not happy with it and the manager said ok no problem we'll exchange it for you. So thats mystory of spending 6 hours in Samsung Gardens and opening up 4 brand new S8 sets in total. Because of this experience im very glad and satisfied. Hence if you check v3 and v4 threads I was and still am a strong advocate that if you're unhappy with your phone you should request for a 1 to 1 exchange. But if you chose to live with it then I cannot help you. If you can get the store employee to give you a promise to exchange after you've parted with your cash then that's the best alternative. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ May 23 2017, 09:51 AM) anyone coming from iphone 6plus or 7 to s8? mind to share some hands on impression after jumping the bandwagon? android pro: generally more freedom to do stuff. find it easier to share files because less restriction for apps to interact with each other e.g. sharing PDF from tiny scanner to whatsapp message.android con: micro stutter and apps might lag/crash, app ecosystem lacking compared to ios BTW, I experienced the no sound problem yesterday...YouTube/FB video plays and after 2 seconds no sound. Restarted the phone and problem still persists. Left my phone after 5 minutes and everything seems to be working fine back. Some android forums saying that the speaker is not connected properly. Hopefully not hardware issue. QUOTE(KHOdin @ May 23 2017, 02:01 PM) Settings>Device Maintenance>BatteryThis post has been edited by Evrae90: May 23 2017, 02:03 PM |
