Wow, S8 price drop too fast. Just within a month already RM 2899.00 in Lazada now. Can even go RM 2819 with vouchers.

Bad news for early buyers.

It is over priced in the first place...normal process of price drop in Samsung high end phones

It doesn't really bother me that much, but Samsung really need to do something about their flagship price.

Drop RM400 within a month is not a good thing in my opinion.

Not overpriced... just price factor in the freebies. There's nothing free especially in SEA.

Lesson learnt: Original S8 SP not compatible with Spigen Tough Armor biggrin.gif

Is the Original SP installed when we purchase the phone or we have to purchase it seperately?

Yea, lesson learned.

If pre-order deals is not attractive, better wait a bit longer.

Hopefully pre-order deal for Note 8 will be good!

I purchased it separately at RM39. Mine wasn't part of the pre-order deal.

Guys , has Samsung Malaysia launched the DEX yet ? I see some overseas unit being sold but would prefer the ones from Samsung stores.

Or if anyone owns it, do share from reviews from a Malaysian perspective. Seen the reviews elsewhere but it can be biased to a point.

Would like to get one, would be useful for me.

When Samsung first sold >RM3K with S6E, I also bought at RM2700 from a forumer. Not sure why you said overpriced when you paid so willingly. From what I seen over the past few years with Edge phone, its more or less hover around 27xx few weeks after launch when hype is over. Hence which is why signing a plan for a Samsung phone is not as best as iPhone which will just keep selling at SRP regardless.

Actually even the price of the S7 Edge didn't drop that drastically so quickly, but if not mistaken there was a 20% discount on the pre-order back then, so scalpers aplenty back then. Here after the pre-order most people selling off same price or a little lower even.

That freebies lot you will not get if one buy now from official retail outlets. Prices are still rm3299 n 3699. Knowledgeable buyers will buy elsewhere n probably online through say Lazada , Gemfive etc

G5 no longer sell electronics...

Lazada aint the cheapest. Honestly, Malaysian in general is like this, cheap they scare, expensive they complain.

In general Malaysia the word cheap (aka too good to be true) is associated with potential scam... That's why part of popular questions asked in this forum is credibility of sellers.

If you cant identify what's scam and what's a deal, then there's no helping it.

Saving a few hundred RM vs peace of mind - getting scammed, getting defective unit. I go for peace of mind anytime. But then those who dare to take the risk with online purchases, your risk may reward you. IMHO, the reward i.e. few hundred RM discount is not worth it for the gamble.

I just checked with Anker - their eBay official store ships to Malaysia.

There's a 3x USB C cable bundle for 13.99USD now. Again, I'd rather pay more (currency, and shipping) for peace of mid rather than risking getting bad quality cables and damaging my electronics in the long run.

One major problem for online purchase is that anything happened. If it is SME. Need to go to service center..cannot do one to one exchange directly. For me..i also prefer peace of mind. Know the feeling when waiting for parcel. Keep on tracking the parcel. The nerveousness not good for health. Haha
