Don buy it, waste of money... i had try it and it makes the screen look ugly with the double sided tape visible on the side when screen is on also the black border below will block some small portion of the screen...

A review after 2 weeks of using HAO 5D Tempered Glass, for those who are interested in making the purchase.

Please refrain ourselves from unnecessary judgmental, bitchy, small-hearted replies.

FIT

As much as they claim to cover 100% of the screen, its not. U still see gaps on 4 sides, which will trap dust. 98% coverage I would say? However, the openings for the speaker grill and camera is top notch. Iris scanner has no openings, seller has forewarned that it might affect accuracy but so far zero issues.

OLEOPHOBIC COATING

This is by far one of the best I have used, on par with IMOS. The first few days was okay okay, which leads me to think they might have applied other coatings on top of the oleophobic coating to protect and preserve in inventory. So, rinse it with water, or very very mild soap and its a night and day difference. The next thing to check on is how long will this coating last, in my usual experience by the 3rd month the coating will start wearing off.

TOUCH RESPONSIVE

Let's face it, naked the best. Any TG will take a toll on the touch responsiveness. Seller will conduct a touch responsive test on the spot with you, showing that every inch of the screen will register touch. But from day to day usage, and comparison with a naked pone side by side, less mistypes, less scrolling skips on the naked phone.

DURABILITY

To early to conclude, but so far no cracks, no chips no dings. This should be expected, even from a 5 dollar tempered glass. But I've had bad experiences with Spigen TG,  out of my 3 purchases went Holland within 2 weeks lol. FYI I'm using the phone naked, until my PITAKA case arrives, and I don't baby my phone.

PRICE

Again, price is subjective. I'll take IMOS into comparison. IMOS for Iphones are marketed to be corning gorilla 3D tempered glass. If anyone has used it, it doesn't contour to the edges of Iphone. Instead there's a light lift that traps more dust. 0.4mm, which is like the maximum they could go for durability without affecting touch responsiveness. That's selling for 210.

5D on the HAO (I wonder what exactly is the 5Ds), that has solved what bothers alot of S7E users, managed to come out with a genuine curved screen protector. And given the handiwork they staff has to go through to apply the adhesion, I'm actually fine with any price within 250 - 300. And I think they did their survey, coz anything above 300 I will have my hesitations.

POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS IN FUTURE GENERATIONS

What I hope to see, is that the edges on the TG is 2.5D for a seamless experience.

Maybe drop the price to around 250 to better market the product.

Huh.. never have I seen a TG with double sided tape on the sides.   Shouldn't this warrant a refund?

I have got my S8 and purchase thiscase. I have also installed clear coat case version on my S8. However, the clear coat is peeling off towards the downside? Any idea, if this is because of the case?
