QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 24 2017, 10:57 PM) If fast charging, then yes. Even though the phone display fast charging, it may not be using fast charging at all. Fast charging only activate when phone battery really low. When it really fast charge, you will get 30-40% charge (depending on your battery size) in 15 minutes. So when it says 1 hour 30mins to full charge what does that means since u claim 30% to 40% in 15mins so 80% in 30mins so 40mins to full charge? |

Any good drop protection case recommended that is compatible with original samsung SP? Currently using ringke fusion where the lower corners overlap with the samsung SP and cause it to lift. Asked the samsung store they said no case compatible other than samsung original cases.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 24 2017, 09:10 PM) I finally figured out how to change LTE band with S8. My earlier complaint about the gaming lag is not due to soc overheating like I initially claimed. It's due to this LTE band selection. It only affect Maxis user since they are the only one with two band (not sure if digi, celcom etc still stuck with Band 7 @2600MHz). nowadays all major telco have both band 3 and band 7 LTE due to not enough spectrum... so skmm already given permission to use 1800mhz for lte...Maxis operate on two 4G band aka band 3 (1800mhz) or band 7 (2600mhz). Normally it wouldn't cause any issue especially when you're outdoor. But when indoors, it really matters. It's alike the situation with dual band router. Lower frequency number gives better wall penetrating while higher number give better speed. The S8 seem to prefer Band7 for whatever reason. First, dial *#2263#. Then select your sim (stack) for your data. Then go to band selection and make sure automatic is selected. Next press the 3 dots and back to go back to previous menu. Now goto band disable>LTE. Press reset. Then you will see an asterick for each band. Untick for everything EXCEPT BAND 3. Once you're done, you can end it. You'll most probably noticed your indoor 4G signal improved somewhat. You can check before and after result by using *#0011#. It would show you the band it is using and the signal strength. Lower number is better for signal strength. Also take note that you don't need to do this if you're getting 4G+. 4G+ will use more than one band, therefore it will be using both bands. I am using meizu on 2015 which is only had few band and not support band 7 and that time only maxis given permission to use band 3 LTE... my digi stuck at H+ until early 2016, got 4G already...I remember when i am using at penang around september 2015, my phone get 4G(means at that time digi maybe on trial mode for 1800mhz) |

Maxis hold 2 spectrum for 1800mhz. SKMM force Maxis to release one back, and not sure who won that.I am using meizu on 2015 which is only had few band and not support band 7 and that time only maxis given permission to use band 3 LTE... my digi stuck at H+ until early 2016, got 4G already...I remember when i am using at penang around september 2015, my phone get 4G(means at that time digi maybe on trial mode for 1800mhz) Back to the point... this only for those who experience poor 4G signal indoors. You can undo it by resetting LTE disable, untick everything except B3 and B7. I use this a lot on my S6e. It was slightly more straightforward with S6e, as I can just directly select LTE band. However since Maxis don't have volte, calls wouldn't get through. But S7 onwards, you can't select LTE only. Therefore have to use this to force it using the band you preferred. I use this because I'm having really bad pings with B7 while gaming. |

QUOTE(Nick Zelos @ May 24 2017, 04:37 PM) Is the spigen rugged armor extra less bulkier than UAG? More flexible as well? Yup, Much lighter and less bulkier then UAG definitely and im love it. It is definitely more flexible because it just TPU unlike UAG that had all sort of material built in to look more tough and rugged e.g TPU, hard plastic, leather even screw.Where do u get yours? Through spigen site or local seller? I got it from a seller two by two, you can find him at the FB. Reputable seller that many had by from him |

Kase (cafele ) case review
Price RM50 For this review i am comparing it with my spigen liquid crystal case. My case arrived yesterday The cafele case is made of very thin TPU but it covers most sides of the phone but protection wise the spigen liquid crystal is alot thicker and edge are more well protected . It looks nice but on protection wise it doesnt feel save but compare to samsung original case this feel more protected on the sides Do i think is it worth? No, for that price and the quality of the case i rather get a spigen ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Velocity: May 25 2017, 08:19 AM |
