i dont feel that maybe i am not a signal bar hogger. Most place i go the calls are crystal clear so i suggest monitor from actual usage than signal bars.

Well, the thing is I'm comparing it side by side with my iPhone 7 Plus on the same network and it's quite a big difference. Anyways, not jumping to any conclusions yet as today is just my second full day with the phone. Will give it a week or so before I report back.

compare to my old phone and current. I feel the line is more stable. i will keep monitoring i am using umobile previously loses signal and reconnect or sometimes no internet. Once that simcard go into s8+ no such issue for now

Try leave your phone facing downward on table..not holding your phone facing downward if thats what u are doing 

Otherwise, try uncheck and check the setting again. I tried mine for calls and sms it works okay. Not working for whatsapp..

But still i rarely put my phone face down..cant see the pretty screen that way.. LoL

for my side only able to get 4hours plus SOT with 80-90% 4G. with wifi can get >5.30hrs SOT.

btw, AOD off rite? NFC always ON? how about Bluetooth? sync setting always ON?

Just long press on power saving icon in notification shade. Much quicker than going to settings> device maintenance> battery
