HD-DVDs are region free, Bluray is not. Why people are more open to buying Blurays is that Malaysia is grouped together with US and Japan so getting originals isnt an issue. Getting European/Australian Blurays are still a no-no since they are region B, we are region A.
I will be selling my Xbox 360 HD-DVD addon once my XA2 arrives and plays well.

You're not the only one interested, bro. Back to topic, you can also get your Blurays from Amazon, selected titles are at 50% discount for limited time only now. Some go as low as USD9 , so your expedited shipping is more expensive than the disc itself! Even if you're not buying those selected 50% off titles, you are still entitled to 10% discount if you buy more than 3 HD titles (either HDDVD or Blurays) in one single order, and you get 10% for every HD title you purchase from Amazon for the rest of the year. Zero worries about taxes and customs, i NEVER get taxed or shipment blocked by them before.
