of the 3 game console manufacturers,Nintendo is the only one so far who has always changed the name of their home console.

from nes to n64 to wii...it never sticks..

but sony and ms have still stuck to their old name(s)...

for their next console,(assuming there is one) do you think they should change their name?

i personally am bored with these two names..
more so on the playstation side.. 10 years of the same name...

there's nothing wrong,ofcourse, if they want to stick with the "playstation" name until ps100, but it doesnt strike me as being very creative..

only nintendo's handheld consoles have similiar names(GameBoy)

for me, better keep the identity. Different company different marketing strategy.

definitely for Pay Station. Sorry i mean Play station. It is sold as a video format player and console playing is 'secondary' there is more titles for the format than the game software!

i don't think Sony should change the behold name of 'PS/PlayStation".

Its widely recognised even Samsung LCD TV has the the sticker which showing

the PS controller which means compatible for console.

Suprisingly even my 75 years old grandma knows what is a PS ~ but not to be

SONY should change. No, in fact they should make another PS3 called, "The REAL PS3", with no Blu-Ray and hopefully, claw back into the race and made everyone forgot about the blu-ray fiasco... LOL.
