Hi guys, just want to ask. I already get the 50>100 upgrade but didnt get any router upgrade. BUT before this I already own dlink 850l due to contact renewal. so should I request the router upgrade or I already upgraded the router due to contract extension?
thank you

their router is kinda shitty thou. why not buy it yourself?

what i recall is the so called FREE UPGRADE will not have contract bound.

Frankly don't expect ISP to provide quality networking hardware in their package, these are all complimentary stuff. As long as it can be used then it is all good in their eyes.

Since the Streamyx days I have been using my own bought routers and wireless card and they are easily 100x superior in terms of stability and features that ISP like TM will ever provide to their customers. Even TIME fiber is also providing cheap inferior routers to their subscribers, my former colleague who worked for TIME as a contractor mentioned that TIME customers always complain about issues regarding those low-end Cisco routers, so much so they have to stock up on better routers like those from Asus and provide it themselves to the customers.

dude you are confusing yourself here please dont take streamyx into unifi, it is totally different ball game

the BTU(modem) belongs to TM and i dont see why they need to give a subpar quality ones, coz if they provide subpar quality BTU they will have quite a big problem. Unifi has almost 1million subscriber till date.

the only thing that TM is giving subpar quality stuff is the router which belongs to you after 1 year warranty. the cordless phone i got were panasonic/motorola

I applied through one of those websites Google searched and it's very reliable for me. We only communicated via WhatsApp and immediately after I sent documents, they helped me to register and choose a super nice landline no. My installation was scheduled two days after that but I requested to postpone to weekend. Got one month free subscription. This was back in 2014.

Recommended my colleague to them again in late 2015 and still fast and easy, same good treatment. My colleague is a foreigner and they managed to help my colleague to waive deposit which is required for foreigners.

So, sometimes agents could be faster and easier to deal with. Find a reliable one.

outside there have whack tons of "empty" agent so gotta becareful.

i got my unifi from one of the forumer here named RATTAN but i think he no longer doing it. he manage to help me "upgrade" from streamyx to unifi without having me to go TMpoint cancel it by myself. Plus he able to retain my landline last 4 prefix number.

indeed rare...coz as i know during my time the SOP is, customer must go TMpoint cancel their streamyx by themself no matter is a upgrade or getting new unifi.

save the hassle

seriously, go ahead and downgrade
i requested to downgrade and was told my bill will have extra RM20 discount while maintaining the old VIP10 package, no need to terminate and reapply for the Unifi Lite 10 - RM129 for 10 up 10 down plus free TM calls and basic hypptv

but then my bill on 22/7 still showing RM149 thus a MCMC report was made  devil.gif
TM called then followed by the TM Point which offered me the above RM20 extra discount, apparently only TM Point can give that on reason customer wanted to terminate, now waiting for 22/8 to confirm whether I get RM129 or not  tongue.gif

Their fault your gain laugh.gif

With the launch of unit lite it has put us vip10 user in a very dumb position.

I don't really care the upload speed anymore. I want pay less that's what I looking for. Quality not a issue as I'm in ftth.
