i requested to downgrade and was told my bill will have extra RM20 discount while maintaining the old VIP10 package, no need to terminate and reapply for the Unifi Lite 10 - RM129 for 10 up 10 down plus free TM calls and basic hypptv

but then my bill on 22/7 still showing RM149 thus a MCMC report was made
TM called then followed by the TM Point which offered me the above RM20 extra discount, apparently only TM Point can give that on reason customer wanted to terminate, now waiting for 22/8 to confirm whether I get RM129 or not

With the launch of unit lite it has put us vip10 user in a very dumb position.

I don't really care the upload speed anymore. I want pay less that's what I looking for. Quality not a issue as I'm in ftth.

And I still have the same equipment - DIR-615 and the old HypTV box since 5 years ago I think. Should I be getting new router ?

Right now the model is you pay fix price, u get fix speed with no quota, maybe next time u pay variable, u get maximum speed achievable.the more data u use, the more expensive it becomes like electricity since using quota is not feasible.

So what the issue last time?

The campaign is not standardize at all, its follow your old package, if your previously got free call then yes otherwise no.

I have after free upgrade, it seems others don't.
I am just plain lucky I guess.

Hmm. I have free calls now, my chronology as below:
1) Upgraded to Advance 30 in July 2015 during their soft launch. Paid RM 199 per month, came with free calls.
2) Complained to MCMC because official launch fellows got at RM 179. TM agreed to reduce my price to RM 179 but my free calls will be removed. I agreed.
3) Nothing was removed until around Jan 2016 though already started paying at RM 179 since Oct 2015.
4) Free calls were removed in Jan 2016, I'm OK because I don't use it at all.
5) Free upgrade to Advance 50 in Feb 2017, can no longer check package bundle page but I don't have a phone set installed, so can't test. Relocated UniFi back to my sister's house and my niece used it to call her parents, bills came and all show RM 0.00, so it means I'm entitled for free calls.

Not sure how this happens.

Better check properly, if your previous package has no free 600 minutes, rightfully you shouldn't get it. Free 600 minutes is worth RM 20 add-on.

im with streamyx during the thank you surprise period and just upgrade to unifi 1 month ago when available at my area.. am i capable for the speed upgrade?

Nope. If so how come I still can get the free upgrade ? Just recently I downgraded from 100mbps to 30mbps. Best to refer to nearest TMpoint. No point asking here Bro.
