Im new to Nintendo and new to console as well. Recently I would like to purchase a NEW Nintendo 3DS XL for my son, any one could please advise where can I buy?
I would prefer:
1. Buy from online store and deliver to my house.
2. Original set, not used, not modded.
3. Should I get Asia Version or US Version?
4. 1 year warranty (official nationwide?).

I do search Lazada, there are many options, I cannot sure what region are they, is it new, is it modded, or fake, region, warranty. etc ..... rclxub.gif

Appreciate that anyone could recommend an online store in Malaysia for me.

Technically, the Malaysia version is still considered to be US region (The games are region locked, so for example if you buy the 3DS games from Australia or Japan, you will not be able to play it with your 3DS console)

In terms of where to buy, I think Impulse Gaming does do delivery:
http://www.impulse.com.my/nintendo/3ds-console

Like brycen mentioned, if you are willing to wait, you may consider getting the new 2DS which is scheduled to launch somewhere in July this year. The price should be cheaper than the New 3DSXL, but that's still subject to the distributor's decision, and our currency's value at the time.

Where do you stay OP?
SS15 Heavyarrm or Impulse at Bandar Sunway.
See the console and get the games you want on the spot.

I can answer question no. 3
The new Nintendo 3DS is region locked (They have four regions 1/Jap 2/US-Asia Sg, MY, 3/AU & EU, 4/South Korea)
If you accidentally purchased other regions 3DS, you can unlock it by using HomeBrew or buy Cubic Ninja.

I would recommend purchasing it from authorised retailers.

Hmm, recently i am very interesting in buying one for myself as well(in fact i did want to buy it since the launch date, but poor student by that tume and almost lost all the interest until recently, right after played the very beginning of Xenoblade)

Based on my research in the past few days, Impulse Gaming provide the best package and price among all the seller(well, actually the truth is other well-known online shop did not have any stock left, except gamer's hideout i guess, but their customer review are pretty bad in their physical store). Impulse provides all the thing comes with the original US new 3ds XL, a 3rd party charger(which never see any seller mention this in lazada), a free amiibo(a collectible figure with some extra content for games if supported by that particular game). The price is rm999 while most of the lazada shop are markup crazily at around rm1200(the cheapest i can find is around rm1049).

Anyway, 2DS XL would be perfect if you wanna save some money but the distributor will most likely sell the console together with bunch of unnecessary thing like free 1 outdated (or latest) game, free some amiibo(which you wont really need it), some screen protector bla bla bla just like how they sell the Nintendo Switch.

Thanks everyone for your advise.

I will consider all the options. You know what, I stay at Penang, surprisingly ... I only manage to found 3 shops within the island still sell TV game ..... and they are very old shop. Cannot believe TV game no more market here, 20++ years ago while Im still high school student, there are plenty of TV game shop around.

Buy online if you have an address to ship.
Buy from a store if you can get a nice deal, which is awfully rare.

Avoid buying second hand.
Dead pixels, broken circle pad or console sold because it has been banned from Eshop is not something you want to tolerate.

Currently, i think only Impulse Gaming still have stock in their website. Maybe you can get from Play-Asia also but i think u need to pay import tax for it since it was an oversea website.

also make sure you buy US set but not JP or EUR or any other region, else you will headache when finding game
