Pro : Nice view

Cons :
1. after few years already got used to that view
2. Still noisy despite of higher floor, the sounds from the street / motorcycles are amplified
3. Annoying elevator stops inbetween floors especially during morning and evening (before and after working hours)
4. Inhaling body odours of other tenant in the lift.
5. Nowadays condos do not have rubbish chute, you and other tenants have to bring down that smelly garbage inside the lift all the way down. Some idiot spill the wet fishy stinky sotong garbage all over the lift.
6. More..

1,4,5 not even relevant.

And 5, usually each floor will have specific place to throw rubbish.

Actually, the view with high floor is nothing special especially in Malaysia unless the apartment is in the city centre. Otherwise you will mostly see old worn-out roof tiles of old houses, scrap yards and stuff.

High floor units
Pros:-
1. Cooler and cleaner air
2. Less mosquito and insects or cockroaches
3. Lower noise - There are reports that there is still noise with floors from 10th to 25th floor but the noise gets lower from 30th floor and above. If there is a swimming pool, the noise of screaming kids will be loud up to 10 floors up from the pool.

Con:-
1. Lift breakdown, which I understand may not be frequent. If lift breakdown, those staying 10 floors up will also need to climb up anyway. Those staying on the 3rd or 4th floor will benefit the most if the lift does happen to break down.

The rest of the cons will apply to everyone living at the low or high floors.

Have to consider personal and building safety in the event of fire. How long it takes you to run out of the building. The higher the unit, more time is needed. Depending on how serious is the fire, the authority may declared the building unsafe to occupy.

I remember circa 2007 when tsunami hit, that earthquake forced everyone to use the stairs to come down.

My leg pain for a week.

Depends on the roof design, some flat type one top floor also hotter. I rent a top floor unit last time the roof didn't leak but the flat roof top absorbed some of the water and caused the paint to peel and become powdery in the room. Management had to do some waterproofing at the top.
