OK here's my situation. I'm also asking some financial & practical advice.

I'm a flight steward based in klia2. I stay in Taman Desa, Old Klang Road, KL. However, I do only turnaround flights (i.e. to & fro flights, I never get to spend the day/night at the destination). It means I travel up & down from KL to KLIA & back every day. Working hours & off days are not fixed.

Currently I take the bus to klia2 from KL Sentral every day.

Recently my dad has suggested I sell off the car & get a new one to do Grab/Uber on the side.

How feasible is doing airport trips OTW to/from work?
How much can I earn in a situation like this?

This doesn't take into account that I might do trips around KL/Klang Valley during my off days.

Thanks in advance.

Good luck to you . Very hard to get a return customer. So please don't think of buying a new car and do grab/uber.

Unless you "pakat" with the taxi drivers there to reach some kind of a deal.

I myself don't mind doing airport trips but watch up few points here:

1) prepare to wait for > 2 hours in klia for ping in uber queue no system. Some driver reported that their queue no being reset after waiting for sometimes and re-queue from behind again. Ended up >4 hours waiting time.

2) so far I never get any ping from grabcar. U better check with some of the expert grabcar driver on this.

3) some rider may want to go to seremban, nilai, cyberjaya etc rather than Kl, taman desa or pj area. The fare is only rm35 or less than rm65.00

There are some driver who return empty car to Klang valley and choose not to wait. Time is $$$.

Try grab hitch. You can use your current car.

Definitely not worth. Queue like no tomorrow at the airport. Waste time. Then you end up getting a trip to Nilai for example. Hahaha.

Definitely not worth it, Try Grab Hitch instead to cover a bit of your travelling expenses
