Was wondering if anyone own something similar like this in Malaysia? If yes how hard is it to get the parts and materials to build? Also how do you find the maintenance work?

Feel like building one with some old casing and old components but don't know where to start.

well it all depends. If you are using all brand new and up to date PC parts and components to make this like in the video its definitely not worth. A PC enthusiast will look at this as a work of art. having electronics part submerge in liquid? that's something special.

i know it looks cool but im betting it will void your warranty.
also just imagine having to troubleshoot problem there will be oil everywhere when you swap out components... shakehead.gif

as i said, no need to use most up to date components. just grab some old ones that doesnt have warranty anymore and put them together.
I seriously wouldnt get a kaby lake set for this build man. warranty is still a thing to keep. thumbup.gif

I think first you will need a very solid base - "the aquarium" laugh.gif

Solid as in very thick layer of the external.

If you follow Linus Tech Tips, they updated with a maintenance video of the build, cracks do occur and its a pain in the ass to fix rclxub.gif

u can try first with your old pcs if you have one and sadly these mineral oil pc trend started in US since 2005 (I think) but it never went popular. According to my friends who was intel operation engineer, mineral oil is one of the best cooling method compared to water and fan cooling.

Here you go for the maintenance log:

just little line cracks will cause leaking.

indeed with old PC parts, wouldn't want to void new parts' warranties sweat.gif

its a risky project but the end result will be satisfying thumbup.gif
