foreign rider allegedly lost a sub-1k phone in car.

he was sitting middle row, in the middle of an uberxl ride.

claimed he was holding phone all the while.

handled additional 4 requests after his trip ended. 3 single rider sitting in same row, and 1 group xl ride.

then a family trip.

but no white object was even seen by the time i load my car for family trip.

i can only think of making police report to cover my ass. and for the rider to tell celcom to block the number.

understandably, celcom denied that it can tell me last location of lost number or phone.

it can practically tell me who took it as 3 rides were going to start shift at respective workplaces.

now, what else can i do to clear up this problem? i want to help the rider, though i doubt celcom will help to locate last transmission tower of the msisdn.

there is that possibilty

he came to uber sc penang; counter washes hand with "you two keep in touch to solve this."

come to think of it, if he enabled google location history, i might also be able to point to who took the phone....

he said he have Google Timeline history enabled.

i told him, i need his phone's timeline between 6am and 10am.

i can match his with my own Timeline history.

i can match his with my own Uber history.

where it was last reporting can tell me whether i was en-route to pick-up or en-route to destination.

it can also tell if the last report overlaps with one of 4 geographically distant venues and at what time and for how long.

that is how i can pin which rider took it, if it's really lost in my car in the first place.

but alas, rider is not getting back to me on those details.

but i am going to cover-report to the police as this impinge on my honesty and reputation as trustworthy individual.

already made covering report with the police.

without rider's input on where his device was last located, or celcom's input on where the imei's last vicinity, I can't do much to help.
