Hi,

Kindly recommend a good value for money DORN therapy / gonstead method around KL area

I check and mentioned therapy around RM4k and medicine around RM3k. Its just about correcting hip alingment.

Strange part the practioner told even after the treatment may not 100% guarantee.

In addition, any good shi shi master around KL area to tackle shoulder pain? Suspect maybe "urat lari" or "angin".

Kindly advise.

Hi, i would like to recommend Abby Chiropractic Care at Seri Kembangan. The fees here are around RM80-100 for the first treatment (Included consultation)
the subsequent treatment costs around RM70-90, it is very reasonable. I am not sure the chiropractor from Abby Chiropractic is Gonstead chiropractor, but the doctor told me that he knows some of the techniques, included Gonstead, and quite cheaper compare to other chiro in town.

Not bad to try it! Highly recommended!

Just sharing my personal experience. I used to believe that chiropractic doesn't help with my back pain, until I met my MD friend and he said go ahead and take the experience, nothing to risk as well.

So, I went.

Package or not it was fine with me. What was interesting was the during the first visit they took a picture of me standing, facing-front and sideway and stored it (I gave them permission of course); doctors then did a detailed examination and explained how my current lifestyle (long hours office worker) and poor posture could have led to current body condition.

It sounded reasonable so I went with the first treatment, it was super awkward haha, and I felt mildly constraints on my back for a couple of hours. I went back to the same clinic every alternate weeks for 3 months. At the end of three month, they did another check up and review session.

Honestly speaking, I did feel good with regular sessions of adjustments. What was really intriguing was the body posture I have compared to 3 months ago was VERY Different. No slouching, balanced shoulder and I asked myself honestly was it a placebo effect? I knew I was honest and not to kid myself, spending for placebo effect. It did help with my body aching conditions, sleep conditions, and sinus condition. (I guess all are inter-related anyway.)

I go for Mid-Valley one (KIRO Lounge) when I am in KL, and when I travel to Singapore, I go to Sinaran Drive ( http://chiropractic.sg) there.

For sinus, they do chiro adjustment around the nose area right?

There's one chiro I saw in fb. Quite famous from his videos. Chris Leong. Heard his shop at Mid Valley.

I’m having backache after I woke up in the morning. And I was recommended by my friend to see a chiropractor than tit da. It is getting better after each adjustment and now I really feel good. Highly recommend The ChiroWay in Midvalley. The doctor really explain well to me before the treatment. The price is really reasonable and it is less than rm100

That's chiro's practice. I have the same experience. Even after the whole 10+ sessions my pain was still there. It was rip off, plus waste of lots of time. They promise 'cure' and take advantage of desperate people with physical pain. No chiropractor for life. No thanks.

it also depends on the chiro's skills. i have been to a chiro which charged very expensive with no effect at all. there was no sound when even doing adjustments. i know that there should be sound and me screaming from pain from the adjustment but this was super quiet as if nothing was done on me. i didn't give up on chiro but i would just go on to the next one.

what kind of physical pain r u having? for me a good chiro means after one adjustment, i would feel comfortable. to be frank, it's hard to find a good chiro now.

I had lower back injury (ligament) from heavy weight lifting doing CrossFit. I quit CF. Too strenuous. Also I used to have painful tension on trapezius due to long computer work for many years.

For me chiro is just waste of time and money. Better diet (balanced nutrition from animal products, esp. ruminants) and active lifestyle helped me a lot. I'm in my 40's.

Hi,

I am having backache and my spinal doctor recommended to this chiropractic place I find a bit fishy because:

Each treatment cost RM 230++, with a minimum of 12 treatments contract - otherwise it will be RM 270 per treatment. This seems to be much higher than the typical price range based on my brief online research.  I am having problem with this because I feel like I am not patient but a customer getting pushed to buy amway/herbal life/facial package...

The receipt is unprofessional (basically the type of receipt anyone can issue, without header, address, etc.). I may have a hard time claiming this. Not sure if it is standard here in Malaysia.

The first treatment I had was actually okay (manual adjustment, opinions on my posture, infra-red treatment), but I had doubt on the quoted price (is my doctor getting 40% commission on this????).

I am actually heading to another clinic for a second opinion, but I thought some of you guys may have relevant experience in this to share. Thanks in advance!

we are very careful about giving opinions on other professions or professionals, but we wouldnt be recommending a chiropractor very often at all, if ever at all. When a back is started to show problems, the first and probably the best thing for you to do as a patient is take up effective personal back-care to prevent further accelerated deterioration. Look up online, youtube is full of good practice for back-care

Try Discover Chiropractic SS2. Look for Dr Sean. He practise gonstead and the method seems accurate. My 3years lower back problem got him fixed after 3adjustments. Important thing is he is really honest and really know his thing. Need to call for appointment.

Thanks for the tip. I am sure there are good chiros, too. Just without knowing the right chiro, too many trials and errors wasting personal resources.
