what's ya guys think this anime gonna be? based on game storyline?

Character Design: Hisashi Abe
Ah, Madhouse Studios is well-known for making many good series (in term of arts although I believe Tokyo Animation is better). Likewise Hisashi Abe who made lots of good character designs like Chobits, Cardcaptor Sakura and Gunslinger Girl. Hope this anime will prevail.

i hope its not becoming like gun-grave...

Best to leave the game alone , because DMC is one of the best game I played and hope it's not messed .

Eh , I don't really see how the trailer dissapoints . They never show cuttage from the anime , so we can't judge anything yet . Besides , the artwork is not bad and best of all , the music from DMC is back !

i think the anime will be short .. i hope it would be not a failure like the Viewtiful Joe anime .

I have high hopes with this series. I mean look what DMC has offered the world? An ass kicking demi demon with a cool personality.

Vergil is much better with his Blue Chinese style coat and Yamato though.

I think they will follow the storyline of DMC3, or something similar.
The cloth of Dante in this anime and his Rebellion makes me think so.

DMC game talk eh? Anyone tried Dante Must Die Mode before? Yea I've beaten both DMC1 and DMC3 dante must die (itemless on DMD DMC1 except the slime-like boss and last boss), all I can remember is the pain (especially dmc3, it's even harder than DMD DMC 1). But it's good bragging rights.

Back onto the anime, hm not yet, but prolly wait until the tv release. I am disappointed of the random loli girl they put in though.

It's nothing to brag about.

Beating Progear or DoDonPachi on one credit, and reaching their true bosses is something much more significant to brag about. Go youtube or nicovideo those two titles to see what I mean.

Nah not really, once you played DMD and beated it you'd understand. Progear could be hard, but it doesn't mean DMD is easy : )

It's one of my fav character after all

Just skim through the 1st 2mins of the RAW and so far it looks promising. Dante fighting few werewolves. There's action, gunslinging, swordfighting,blood, gore and not to mention the music sounds good.

Watched it today , while the action is cool to the max , it seems that the story doesn't develop well . Yes , Dante is still a badass , but the story doesn't blend together and fight scene just pop up here and there . The first episode might not be expansive , but hopefully it will progress better .

Hmm, sort of like playing PS2..Hahaha.. Not bad for the first episode but the monster all like cheesy.. Easy. I think beginner mode only.ahaha

i don't think so. After finish watch epi1, dono what the hell goin' on. I know 'he' killing those monsters hidden inside human body (reminds me of claymore alit bit ) and posing kick-a$$ actions. And some how the little gal was like 'vip' person.

The girl is an original character, so....

DMC is simple .. it tells about the story of dante the son of sparda where he is some demon hunter kinda like the story Angel ( google it ) .. anyway can't wait to see the next episode ..

which fansub offer the best quality? want to start dl.. but too many subbers

It's quite obvious that the anime will never beat the game, since it's not YOU controlling Dante anymore.

Watched episode 1 and 2. Story is not that interesting, but the actions are cool. Too bad those artists didn't really put much effort in showing those actions. But for me, this anime is worth watching, dunno, i just like dante style, so for me, i like the anime. Looking forward for the episode 4 and on and on and on and on and on

After watching ep 8, i see something going on.

Time line of DMC is DMC3>DMC1 (so DMC3 is kinda like prequel).

Anime timeline is after DMC 1, which is also after DMC3, since Dante knew both Trish AND lady.

As a huge DMC fan (DMD almost itemless on 1 and 3 <3), the series is pretty average, but then again it has already been stated that the series is about the daily life of Dante so no major storyline or anything. It's just some monster pop out, Dante show some action, monster dies, but got no money or got cheated by girls/lolis as usual.

i'm still following.. and yea, it is sooooo boring + lame.. cant find the dante's BADASS feel at all... and those demons are juz for display only... cant even give a fight with dante...

latest sub episode 11 ends with a cliffhanger and ending song showed Dante lost ~ crucified + stabbed with his own sword through the heart in the demon's world.

sounds like getting interesting..

Darn nice though the last 3 episode.. lol.. But Dante... Alastor is super boring.. Bring out the badass sword e.g. Ifrit, or even Sparda sword.. Long and wicked badass sword. lol

finished this anime last week... i would like to conclude tat the whole anime dun have much action... usually it only shows dante holding the sword, slices 2-3 times... then the next scene, the demon KO ady... very boring anime i would say... but yet i still finished it =.=
